My wife, uh, did that thing again, yesterday, 2 days shy of 3 months.

So I have to go print out a form and get her to fill it out so I can file it.

I feel sick and broken, but there is only one way to handle this.

Is it just me, or does it often seem to happen on emotionally significant days like birthdays and holidays?

It happens on those days, when I am wholly unguarded, am lavishing her with affection.

It happens whenever I am at my most happiest at the knowledge I have an amazing and beautiful person in ky.life who loves me deeply.

Now I have to walk away from that, that connection I have nevee had with anyone else because...because she is an asshole with mental problems.

It's unfortunate, but it was her responsibility to get her behavior under control, and you have to do what you have to do for your own emotional health and stability. Wishing you strength in getting through this, and I'm here if you want to talk about it.

Yes, it was. There are all sorts of ways to excuse it, but that is not my way.

Really though, it could be worse. It could have gone on like this for years, probably would have if not for my constant effort to check my own brain.

She made the decision, by not getting a handle on her behavior. She had lots of options to do so, including such simple things like "I'm feeling frazzled and need to spend half an hour alone/go for a walk/hide in this corner". She opted not to do that. It was her choice. You set your boundary, and it is a fair and reasonable one. Following through now is the best thing for both you and for her.

Yeah, I didnt want to cause that level of destructio....ok not true, but I dunno that I can take that heat.
