Or :?
I'm honestly curious, Peleus...Why do you do shit like that? In your warped little head, did you think it would somehow help the situation? Or do you get a thrill out of making a bad situation worse?
Or do you just get kicks out of humiliating people who make the mistake of considering you a friend?
Help me out, here. I really want to know what possessed you to do that.
I've been on the other end, a lot of Thetis friends were telling her to dump me. I've never cheated on her, or even hit her. Except one time I had roid rage (doctor gave me them after i had found out I was alleric to sulfer and didn't tell me that was a possible side effect) in which I had bitten her hand during an arguement.
Should have learned from that tarot reading to give up my suit of armor

Okay, you're a loony. I suppose that's as good an

Fucking hell, If not hitting her is high on your list of relationship achievements then it doesn't sound like you have an awful lot going for that relationship.
Its not the kind of thing that should spring to mind.
Wrong target audience i guess.
I could bet a lot of us here havent done such a thing.

Childhood fights don't count IMO. The reason people tell little boys that it is never OK to hit a girl is because they're preparing them for adulthood, in which size, strength and aggression make it a dangerous idea to accept.

I socked a girl in sixth grade because she was confusing "boys should not hit girls" with "boys can not hit girls." People get really mean if they think you can't do anything about it.

IMO that's a pretty valid reason to hit a girl. Especially in sixth grade, when almost all girls are bigger than almost all boys.
There are good reasons to make exceptions to the "never strike a woman" rule, but in general it's a good rule.

Before my time if anything. Every so often I think I understand what he's trying to say or what his point is. This is not one of those times.
I've met Yatto, and I seriously doubt the hand-biting was scary beyond a "WTF is with you?" level. It was probably almost funny except for her being worried about why he was spazzing. Just guessing here. And, I was pissed at him a bit earlier for touching a nerve, but I think he was trying to apologize & we're all being too hard on him.
Would have been funny if she didn't have to miss work.
She put her hand over my mouth as I was trying to talk over her.
You know, there are many, many reasons that relationships don't last. Most of those reasons have nothing to do with physical violence.
Maybe her friends were telling her to dump you because, you know, you can be a real prick sometimes.

Technically, I have hit a woman.
I say "technically" because it was consensual. We were sparring/flirting at the time. A sort of foreplay, if you will. She got her shots in, too.
I have never, ever struck a woman in anger. For what it's worth, I've only struck a man in anger a handful of times.

I didn't see an apology, but I'm not certain he's capable of it.
I'll lay off him, though, if that's what you want.

That's the key. Solving a relationship issue with violence is pretty much admitting you can't hendle one in the first place.
If it's fun + games though, rock on.
you sound like such a catch. If only I could be fortunate enough to find a man who only bites me in roid rages, and doesn't hit me...

I'm getting the feeling that Yatto/Peleus's awkward use of language is causing him to self-destruct a bit. Which is amusing in a sick kind of way; most people misuse language in a way to make themselves look better.
What I've managed to gather (after 3 goddamn pages) is that the friends of Peleus's wife (Thetis, right?) are advising her to ditch him, and he is obviously upset about this.
We don't know why precisely Thetis is being advised to leave him, but based on the subject he's brought up, we can assume they've cited physical abuse as one reason.
He, in his infinite wisdom, retaliated with the argument that he's only ever been violent twice (I think), and one of those incidents was the result of a bad reaction to his prescribed medication: Thetis apparently clapped her hand over his mouth and, in his altered mental state, reacted by biting her hand. Assuming he's telling the truth, that's still kind of shitty, but it's plausible and not quite as bad as hitting a woman in anger when drunk, or something similar.
We still know nothing about any other violent incident(s), and I certainly wouldn't expect Peleus to fess up to being a wifebeater on the internet. It's not even clear if there WERE other incidents.
Basically, Peleus wrote himself into a pretty bad corner with the ill-advised phrase, "[never] even hit her," which implied that he set the bar for good behavior pretty damn low for himself, but which may have been his response to accusations by Thetis's friends that he cheated on her or was violent towards her. Obviously, due to his amazing ability to completely neglect to provide any context for what he's saying, we could only assume the former.
Right now what I'm mostly pissed about is that it took three pages to get what should have taken one page, at most. :lulz: Peleus, when treading on emotionally delicate subject matter on the internet, a little tact and some more clear language than what you typically post goes a LONG fucking way. Complete sentences and paragraphs which make no assumptions that the reader already knows or can deduce what you're talking about are the name of the game.
P.S. If Peleus actually does mistreat his wife, though, he's a lowlife twat and I redact any patience or forbearance that I've displayed this post.
P.P.S. Also, it kind of sucks that this rather amusing thread title got wasted on a shitty thread about an unhappy topic. And that it was a reference to another unhappy thread.
You missed one bit: He was reacting to some of PD commenting on the relationship between GS and Suu, and was relating his experiences as a parallel.
Still, it was nice to state the general consensus as it relates to domestic violence.

Ah, right, thanks. Forgot to consider that.
Considering that:
The whole notion of this thread in the first place is an ill-conceived idea, and I think it's best summed up by Dok Howl's first response to the OP. The OP is cryptic and contains no actual information beyond a reference to an old joke, and there's no way a reasonable person on PD could have figured out anything from it other than "Um, was there a point to this other than being in bad taste for the hell of it?"
