Title: UNLIMITED Wizard Joseph Garbage Collection Thread.

Those were the days.

:)Cheer up good sir!  I know I can bluster overmuch, but  The days we have left are The best yet.  The economic(and most every other) picture is so surreal now in light of the events since Feb.  that I have little doubt you will live to see the dream dam we're calling exchange do what everything does and break.  There's some straight up Nero shit coming down the pipe!  I read a pocket book version of Tacitus' take way back. Nero played no fiddle, but sang of Troy!  The bastard's own guard cried to the people that it was not them throwing the torches but Nero.  The people let them for the usual "can't kill a souldja or you die" unreasons.  Nero bought the fresh real estate.

You know this cycle.  Some even think themselves it's architect, the fools.  They are unqualified to operate it IMHO.  But they try hard as HELL!  They even sellout to the worst in human nature's impulses and dreams because it makes some think their cock is hard enough to spin the wheel.  If the economy malfunctions I simply think we need to clear out all the bloody cocks stuck at the top!

I say the wise know better and know also that getting your cock stuck in a moving Chao is your own damn fault!  Cheer Doktor!  You can surf the wave they would own but claim to fight!  You know there are no sides other than the one that keeps you(and yours) above water.  You get to watch it break their serfs while they tear at each other in little concrete boxes waiting to claim an aftermath they are unworthy of!

As for the original pull-one-over on the J-squad start of this thread :lulz:   :| you have no idea what some of these people are capable of!
They might anoint you or something... It's horrible.  It's gonna be a little rusty, but if anyone wants a fake anointment to help blend in I may just pull one off for you.

I know this is all unsolicited jabber, but youall somewhere said to just be myself on these forums and here it is.
Or kill me 2!

Thanks a bunch, arse biscuit.

The thread was already dead and I liked what I read.  Then I said stuff.

Maybe it's just that many of you know a lot more than I do.  I wanna learn too.

Stuff that had nothing to do with the thread.  Stuff that says what ALL of your stuff says.

"LOOK AT HOW ZANY I AM".

Then you fuck up the tagline.

You could basically just cut and paste that post - or any of your posts - and just re-use it any old place, because they all say the same fucking thing.

You're a cunt.  Die in a fire.

Whatever part of me you may hate doesn't really matter.  I'm drawing attention a little on purpose but, with an intent to have fun and maybe learn. (and I have)

Don't like my humor?
ok.

Don't like my thoughts?
ok.

Don't trust my identity?(Fuck U for that bullshit twice! I never got that nice apology)
ok.

You think I type the same crap all the time?
Give me time.  I'll bury myself in it eventually if you're right.

If whatever I do annoys you that much you could always just snort some plutonium.  Then you'd have a problem worth starting a thread over instead of me and my meaningless bullshit.

You're not worth my non-zany side, we're not friends yet(if ever, I don't pretend you want to or offer!!).  We're all fucked a little more each year.  Breathe deep Dok, savor it!  One day you won't taste anything on the air but your filter mask.

So I fucked with your nostalgia about a thread trying to say what I wanted and thought relevant.  I like to tangent off.
So what?  I'm here on principal. My own.  Not yours.  If I'm REALLY that bad ask me to disappear form these forums.  No one else felt like putting 2 cents in that thread.

I never promised you an apology.  I promised to split Cram's accusation out of your thread, and all the drama related to it.  I did this, and even named the new thread in a manner that cleared your name.

Now fuck off.

QuoteNope.  Just doing a little checking.  The logs from IRC will have the offender's IP address, and if it matches, well...Let's just hope that doesn't happen.  Our policy is to report kiddie pron, and the offender on IRC has already been reported to the FBI, just the other day.

If there's no match, you'll get a nice apology, and will be allowed to continue.

Whatever.  :|  I put MY nuts on the table trying to resolve this for you.  I pray to Whomever that the asshole gets what he should or MUCH worse.  If I had the resources I would happily ensure that.  You don't bother me nearly THAT much.

I didn't say *I'D* apologize.  I was assuming Cram would, seeing as how he's the one that made the accusation.

Didn't get one of those either.  Don't need it, but it would coll me off some.  I find your choice of thread title ironic because unlimited garbage is just another resource to me (has been for a long time).  On the subject of faith(cuz I wanna) THe pretty cloth and "salvation from whatever" shit ended when I traded them for work gloves and salvage.  You don't know me.  I know garbage tho and my best friends used to be that to some. Some of them want me to watch a zombie movie with them now, so I'm gonna go do that.  Then go chill with a real live girl I know with talent and looks I admire.  I'll be around to haunt this place for valuable junk later and I can deal with the stench and shitty little surprises.

Oh I'm not apologizing. The fact that the Joseph who posted CP in IRC and the Joseph who reg'd on PD an hour later have different IPs does not convince me that they're different people.  (if I was going around the net posting CP, I'd use a proxy too) Essentially I still think it's too much of a coincidence and do not trust the guy.

I figure that if Joseph is the same jerk who posted CP in IRC, he'll probably suck in other ways too and everything will work itself out.

And if I'm wrong, which is possible, Joseph will eventually reveal himself to be a pretty cool guy. I'm open to this outcome, but I'm not going to be dancing around a maypole with him while I make up my mind.

Greetings Cramulus.

Again, I'm not asking. It's for similar reasons and also my own sense of honor.  Consider this though.  I'm openly building a business in the sex products industry.  I have both business and ethical reasons for doing it.  There is no benefit for me in such activities considering my goal in this.  I gave my real name and other information to this Doktor Howl guy I don't know in an attempt to prove this.  Wanna know me? Wanna see the realish me and how my friends and I interact to satisfy your mind? then get it from Howl.  Then friend me on FB or something.  If you choose to, then I prefer that you please use your name but won't demand it.  Just send a message in the request. whatever you  wanna say as code for whatever this place means to you.  With respect, this is not an offer of personal friendship.  This is me submitting to personal Surveillance to end this particularly nasty waste.  (same for you DoKtor, I said look so look until you're more than 100% if you wish)

I'm not a blameless person, but you should know that I live in a fashion befitting an Upright primate.

I also know better than to put my nuts on the table if I don't have winning cards in hand.

T.W. Joseph

Whether or not he posted CP, he keeps posting his own "look at me" crap all over the board. He's dumb, boring, unoriginal, and a waste of time.

Good enough then.  I have no personal issue with you and would have done what you did in such shitty circumstances, just perhaps sooner.  Or more personally with surprise elements.  Whatever tho it's over enough for me.

As for hearing from me it's clear that I'm an interloper here... even to me.  I'm done posting anything(outside my own threads) for a bit except perhaps mittens or anything more than a line or so of text.  Not about you guys.  Clearly I need my eyes here more than my mouth.

as for a thousand metric shit tons of butthurt... if that's a threat find me!  You can Dok.  Circumstances forced me to let you.  If you do look me in the eye before you change the nature of our conflict.  Personally sorry my shit offends you, but if you mean something by this and come after me, my site, my stuff, my friends, or any other thing in my life I have no cover.  I don't want it.  Didn't think I'd need it when I came here and started posting, then this shit happened.

I'll be chillin' under the scope.

I've decided that as a way to keep my more wordy crap off the threads I'll use this one.
It was gonna be my garbage anyway.
I'll just post a quote from what I'm looking at and comment to my hearts content here, that way I won't step on toes and IF someone wants to hear my crap from the rest of the forum they'll find it here.
I apologize to those I've snapped at and for jumping blind into these forums without understanding the etiquette and problems of the place.
I do love and think I understand Discordianism, but know that I'm still learning.

Original thread:  http://www.principiadiscordia.com/forum/index.php?topic=29528.0 (http://www.principiadiscordia.com/forum/index.php?topic=29528.0) started by Cramulus.

QuoteFive [5] Things that Satanists could learn from Discordians from bettedoom's blog
Quote*"We Discordians should stick apart!": On a scale of Wicca to drama-free, the votaries of Eris have us beat-hands down. Why could this be? The more closely-knit a community, the more that peer and mentor relationships tend to moderate and maintain homogeneity among its adherents. Both Satanism and its dotty great-aunt Discordianism benefit from the opposite tactic. It is this sound advice that gives rise to the tradition that all Discordian popes undertake as their first papal action the excommunication of all other Discordian popes and momes.

Whatever.
I can still taste the milk that got stuck in my sinuses when he(?) implied that the "Votaries of Eris" get little drama.
The truth is "Auntie Eris" is drama and will spank your ass if you get loud.
If we seem better off than some it's because open argument is far better for a group than secretive bitching and power-playing.
It does not work well in hierarchies.... Ah.. Ah! *Achoocifer!!..* (X'cuse me, sniff)
By nature it thins the ranks and leaves the competent people strong and adaptable instead of more dependent on "little people" at the bottom of the tower.

If someone has ever graced the author with a "genuine" PD Pope card the absurdity of the statement made here would be funnier!
Ahem..
"Every man, woman, and child on this earth is a genuine and authorized pope. reproduce and distribute these cards freely"
It's not like Erisians need a declaration of Anemic Will to be one or something.
Just a good copier service.

Quote*Although it is very good and wise to hold serious reservations about the existence of Deity, it is equally good and wise to entertain the possibility, especially when faced with the problems of theodicy, that god is a crazy woman.

8)
It's good and wise to hold intelligent reservations.
Serious reservations tend to get stuck in your head...even when they're just no good anymore.
Now, Eris can be off the reservation entirely, but she's only half of the Chao(to some)!
If there is an Omni-God it's beyond duality, and theodicy(reconciling the goodness and powerful nasty side of God) is like being appologetic to a gazell for the lion's strength and hunger.
Nobody involved cares, probably best to move on.  :fnord:

Quote*Both religion and humor are attempts to negotiate the mind-rending alienation and misery of the human condition and are excellent antidotes to the most horrible of life's pains-boredom. Religion and comedy are both born in pain, one seeks to escape or ameliorate that pain through its own means, but comedy approaches what is painful with an intimate smirk.

:|
Life' got much worse than boredom available, obviously.
More subtly, Good comics and clergy are rarely alienated people.
The best have usually had a few mind-rendings and come out stronger for it.
What is unique to Discordians is that the whole thing is a joke AND an assertion of reality that borders religion.
Discordians are the laughing tears, the moment the pain got so bad it got funny.
It's kissing death on the teeth and grabbing his bony ass while you pick his pockets. It's multitasking... schmuck!

Quote*The care and keeping of mythology is our responsibility. In the good ole' days, stone idols were dressed and made up continuously, as the ancients understood that devotion literally fed their gods, who would wither and die without it. The story of the Great Snub need not compete with the Illiad.

:lulz:
Is he saying that Satanists should look to Discordians for tips on keeping a mythology together?
Maybe the first priest to dress up an idol in gaudy crap was taking fashion and financial advice from one.

"Oh, no nonono! The Big Owl wants a red SILK shawl today. I happen to have the very finest, but just barely enough and I just hate to part with it, but if you insist. For the Owl!"

I doubt it got all traditional until after said Discordian's caravan was long gone.

Additionally a question: If the gods NEED us to feed and change them regularly wouldn't that make US the superiors?
Also the Illiad sucked, Homer left out all the good parts.

Quote*Anarchy and advanced bureaucracy are phases of one renewing cycle, and the natural forces of entropy are sufficient to topple any tyrant.

:evilmad:
THIS kind of idea is what every tyrant is counting on.  This keeps some of the brightest and most capable minds and wills in check..  Waiting out the tyrant only prolongs the transition from bureaucracy to aftermath.  Patience is all well and good, but the Discordians know the option to act upon the self to adapt is just as good as trying to change the circumstances. Neither choice is just waiting it out.

I think that Satanists can be awesome(I've known quite a few), but for me it's Eris that has all the cards.   :)
I think Discordiansim adapts and creates as a function of the (non)self image it can foster in people.  :p
I think Satanists could learn alot from us, but they would no longer be serving anybody or anything if they got the lesson.  :fap:
I think black robes get too stuffy and hot with all those candles burning.  :argh!:
I think there is no 5. :fap:
I think if you're gonna drink black wine you should do it for the flavor and have a snack or tums handy.  :fnord:
I think fiction can own you if you're not willing to tweak it to suit your tastes.
I think I'm allergic to goats.
I think Anton Lavey looked great with a snake and hand-made hoodie with little horns, both a gift from his Auntie I'm sure. :fap:
I think 10 is the real number of man and most of us are just blind in one eye.

Wordy is fine. Wordy is good.

Tldr means too long, didn't read. It's good to write tldr and an overview of the bigger writing under it for people who get overwhelmed.

Some of your comments cover previously covered ground, but apart from that I like your comments and I think you're a worthwhile contributor.

She was brought low by a pretty boy.  This is not uncommon for her.  However, what IS uncommon is that she chose to move - for reasons even she can't explain - to North Carolina, where the ticks have first names.  It's kind of like that Persephone chick, only she doesn't come back for half the year.

Legend has it that a hero can bring her back, as long as he doesn't eat any fried foods while in NC or look back on his way up the jetway in Tucson.

That was her idea.  She's all like "The line is too long", and I'm like "What are you gonna do about it?", and she's all like "RAAAAAAAAAAAAAWR!" and then there was squishy noises and something that sounded like a giant ratchet, and the blood went UP the pyramid, and I said "Haven't you got that backwards?", and she says "WHAT NOW, BITCH?"

Legend has it that a hero can bring her back, as long as he doesn't eat any fried foods while in NC or look back on his way up the jetway in Tucson.

It sounds like a mission for a Holy ManTM

Unfortunately, I'm too busy cleaning up that fucking mess you and Nigel left in the ancient Mayan temples in Siberia.

Nigel is a terrible thing to happen to anyone, but at least with her, you don't have to wait in line at tourist attractions.

Perfect for when you travel to exotic lands, if they would let her through customs...

The customs guys tried to stop her, but she smiled at them and they all wandered off and fed themselves through the underside of the luggage conveyor.  They didn't even scream.  It was awful.

I heard that Squiddy learned that smile. I hear she used it down in Swampland in 2000 on some convention for people called Chad.

Holyshit dude. You may be the first spag ever to turn around their own UNLIMITED thread. That your attempting it is epic.

I really am still new to forums.  You all were my first!  :argh!:

So TLDR is like a summary placed above the word festival for those less inclined to read the whole thing?

I did not really understand the maginiude of the consequences for poking Roger/Howl.
I consider him an important part of the learning curve here and a darwinian force for..  uh.. things and BOOM and stuff.

EXPLAIN THAT, DOKTOR.

NO, IT IS A RELIGIOUS IMPERATIVE TO CRAP ON HIS GRAVE.  WE ONLY TELL PEOPLE THE POKING BIT FOR OUR OWN SICK AMUSEMENT.

Uhm..  I did read a bigger chunk of that thread. Enough to know I'm kinda hosed, but given the trend, I may have a surprise for the nessie too, but ..                                       I think it's only sane to start running now...___---- - - - - - - -  -  -  -  -  -   -  -  - >|!_!_ Ow! alright fine.. Since it's the most recent thing mentioned here I'm going to start with the nessies.

The thread
More Futurisitic Fun Than You Really Wanted, part I of V  (http://www.principiadiscordia.com/forum/index.php?topic=28761.0) started by The Good Reverend Roger

It took me a while to read this to my satisfaction.  I kept re-reading many of the posts.  I am impressed!  The stories are top notch, so is the artwork.  I was even more impressed with the degree of creative effort put in by the contributors.  You all managed to work together and make a really great thing.  Even the minor snags and territorial issues that came up were quickly worked past and the project really came together!

For those that may not know of the nessie threat I cannot suggest strongly enough that you set aside time and read the thread entirely.  A few hours of attention may be the difference between having a drink this weekend and showing up on a missing person report next Monday!

I'm not going to summarize the plot(s). It is imperative that you read and understand the nature of the terrible, hidden menace that is the nessie for yourself!  Any piece of detail or snippet of wisdom gained from the text may be what saves you...  though in truth there's not much you can do when they have your scent and no matter where you run you hear their insidious song.  If you have seen them it is far too late to run.
THEY have seen you, and you are only a meal on the go.

Here we have Aunty BadBeast's Agony Column. (http://www.principiadiscordia.com/forum/index.php?topic=30388.0)

On display in this thread is the timeless and difficult-to-clean wisdom of PD's own BadBeast.  BadBeast is frequently to be seen advising major heads of state on proper head technique, but has found time to spare to share here.  The horrible truthiness of the missives in this thread is sure to leave you with a fresh taste in your mouth and the sort of enlightenment that causes your eyes to get really wide and glow.

Reviews by some dead persons:

Total abstinence is so excellent a thing that it cannot be carried to too great an extent. In my passion for it I even carry it so far as to totally abstain from total abstinence itself.  Auntie BadBeast has truly made this possible for me. -Mark Twain

A system of morality which is based on relative emotional values is a mere illusion, a thoroughly vulgar conception which has nothing sound in it and nothing true.  Auntie BadBeast has made me comfortable with this, and I have no further questions.  -Socrates

I cannot conclude without mentioning how sensibly I feel the dismemberment of America from this empire, and that I should be miserable indeed if I did not feel that no blame on that account can be laid at my door, and I did not also know that knavery seems to be so much the striking feature of its inhabitants that it may not in the end be an evil that they will become aliens to this kingdom.  Auntie BadBeast made me able to truly say fuck the poxy bastards with sandpaper until they bleed out.  -King George III

butthurt is something you do to yourself.
So... does this mean I've been doing it wrong?

On the other hand, the decision between KY and Astroglide is no longer going to haunt me at night.

Phox,
Is at least a polite butthurter.

Not sure if that was a joke fail on me or you're playing along to well. Either way, I got nothing.   :lulz:

That's just the dicks man, pure dicks.  Good for a Lovecraft convention or getting attention at a lesbian hook-up club.

To be honest I never figured there would be a photo that could reverse illustrate "armor plated dildos", so... I guess that happened!

Where do you folks find this stuff?

So... this Welty person likes teh dildo armor eh?  :crackhead: (I've wanted a reason to use that emote for a while)  I've never seen a photo of something worse than that outside of war reporting and human rights violations.  I feel strangely sad that things like that don't show up more frequently in both.

Since you were the last person I reviewed here at my garbage pile BB I'll choose a thread from an active poster of thy choice for my next one, if you like.

No regrets, no going back. If I hadn't met real people here that I came to admire first I'd have disappeared. As it stands I'm VERY happy to have found a peer group of decent folks. I kinda want a shirt that says

"PD .com taught me the true meaning of butthurt" or something.

Link is 404 so... yes. I remember seeing this AKK for a bit, heard his "music", scrolled past his walls of words to read the responses. Wasn't interested.

There was a feeling that all the noob fools I was seeing come in somehow NEEDED to be asses. I was one too, but not because I came here to be one. I'd no real prior experience with forums and utterly no idea what to expect but had a good grip on Eris and Discordianism, or so I thought. Jumped in, got trolled hard, learned my first real taste of Internet culture here and have no regrets.

I didn't really understand that, but I'm even now still learning about this place and the folks here. I've seen other sides of "Discordia" now, but PD is the only one I have much respect for that I've seen so far. The "disco" faction particularly riles me because it is likely the first thing folks will see about Discordianism by attrition of a sort, but they suck vast amounts of donkey peen and expect you to join in or somehow consider them enlightened for it.

I have heard that you are the Messiah so... any advice?

Hi Guys!

Just passin' through. Saw that my last post before yesterday was exactly a year ago, so I thought I would celebrate it.

Wizard Joseph - sorry the link didn't work. It means you miss out on AKK's 'troll lessons'. Shame he doesn't have a student testimonial section so we could write back and explain how he was completely terrible at trolling and his time at PD was measured in minutes rather than days. Still, not actually the worst of the 'UNLIMITED thread' offenders IIRC.

Basically, congratulations. I believe you are so far, the only person who climbed out of the 'unlimited' category and made it to regular poster. Think we need to study how that happened and leave a sticky for new members. 'The redemption of Wizard Joseph - how to turn the lemons of butthurt into the lemonade of acceptance'. (working title)

Ahh, the sweet citrus smell of group dynamics.

Greetings Mang'!

I'm not certain that I can explain how it is that I came to be where I am, but I can attempt to recall my perspective and personal thoughts some.

I suspect that a fair amount of the initial issues I had were due to lack of contact with "The Internet" in a social sense. For me it was a thing I used to acquire knowledge, not a place I look to for social relations. I literally had never heard and misunderstood the term butthurt for example.

There were very weird, synchronistic IRL things on my end of this reality tunnel we call PD that I don't fully recall, but that lent a sense of the need for caution and I quickly realized that it meant that I should read more than I post, and I did. I still managed to make an ass of myself several more times, but that was now part of a learning process. It was getting the UNLIMITED thread that made me realize that there was a certain social order to things and factors at play that I didn't fully understand.

It was bizarrely synchronistic that Roger chose to mention garbage collection in the thread title as the "Wizard" character in the ongoing fictional cosmos I've long been working on is first taken in by "incorporeal beings" that might be called "garbage spirits" shortly after barely surviving arriving on Earth and discovering that he is effectively marooned and nearly powerless on a profoundly hostile world.

I was provoked to writing some of it down on a thread somewhere around here.

I can tell you that I am a statistical outlier testing at IQ 190 for linguistic comprehension, pattern recognition, and symbol interpretation but otherwise only on the bright side of average for a composite score of 155. I'm not a college graduate. I will be one day.

I have a thread otherwise about myself posted. I'll add to it again pretty soon, I'm a slow writer and am using an Android phone for Internet these days.

If I might ask what was your first experience with PD? I'm also very curious to hear your or any other folks' impressions and will happily answer any questions as I can.

I have a feeling that it's a couple of standard deviations to the right.

Which one did you take? Berkeley has one that's based on recognizing facial emotions, which I think is not bad but some people have limitations in their facial recognition processing that makes it a bit biased in that arena, since body language is also a very valid way of picking up emotional cues.

It's out of 80, with 30 being "may be autistic." I took this one http://psychology-tools.com/empathy-quotient/. It's wholly text based, and I suspect it may be flawed as I know I am a generally empathic person, in person.

Odd. I got a 32.

Then again, I tend to avoid the far left and right answers on those kinds of tests, just because, you know, ambiguity.

Maybe it just shows I'm bad at tests.

To be honest, I'd be more interested in seeing what our collective EQ (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Empathy_Quotient) is.

Probably higher than you would expect.

Very interested in seeing where PD lies on the autism spectrum.

On the inverse from the EQ scores.

I took an online EQ test the other day. I got a 41  :|

Is it scored the way an IQ test is scored?

It's out of 80, with 30 being "may be autistic." I took this one http://psychology-tools.com/empathy-quotient/. It's wholly text based, and I suspect it may be flawed as I know I am a generally empathic person, in person.

I just now scored 58 on that test, so I wouldn't worry about 41. I normally score very high on EQ evaluations.

I got a 39, which is low for me on these kinds of tests.

Yea, 44 here. And while not trying to sound like Most Empathetic Guy in the Room, that does seem pretty off for me.

I suspect this test is rather heavily weighted. Autism for everyone!

Hey, don't go hating on those internet diagnosed autistic people.  They just don't know how to relate to people, this test says so!

Scored 58 of 80. I'm not sure of the value of the test, but I took it. The one done for my IQ was administered privately by a psychiatrist who was the spouse of a councilor of mine. This was when I was about 17 or 18. It put a lot into perspective for me then, now I find myself wondering how I'd do on another 15 years later.

shit.

It's been so long. I'm very different than I was just a few years ago when I dove in here and earned myself this thread. I just looked farther back and remembered how I felt and thought back then. In some ways I'm not the same dude at all anymore.  I've got much more I should add to my personal story thread. I'm not sure I'm ready to go there yet, but I have to try to get it out.

I'll work on it as my weekend project. It's a lot, but probably not as much as it feels like in my head.

Being different to how one was years ago is favorable, in my mind to being exactly the same. It's called growth. Does a being good to tear their self apart, expand on the good bits and burn the bad. Personality is like lego, build shit up, tear it down, build it back up better.

The alternative is attachment to an electro-chemical simulation, running on a couple of pounds of meat, resting in the skull of a member of the primate order. Don't let that put you off, tho, it's a popular choice.

The funniest thing is that personality is actually really stable and temperament is fairly fixed, and in most cases, absent major trauma or brain injury, when adults think they are "completely different people" from who they were earlier in adulthood, they haven't really changed on a fundamental level; they are still completely recognizable as themselves to others who haven't interacted with them recently. Rather, what changes, with some effort, is typically relatively superficial behaviors and attitudes. Because personality is so stable, it takes so much effort to achieve even relatively small shifts in perspective, behavior, or attitude, and so that expenditure of effort causes the person who has made such a change to overestimate the degree of difference from their former self.

I very much see this. I don't consider myself a truly different person, but there are notable differences. They ARE relatively small things, but as you said from in my head they're huge. I've gained competencies and shrugged off some of my old ideas, nothing more. Also definitely nothing less.

Introversion/extraversion tends to "wander" more than other traits, but generally if you start out an introvert, yes, you will always be an introvert. You may become a more social introvert, and you may gain social coping skills that make you a popular and fun introvert, but yeah, basically you will probably always be an introvert.

It is, however, important to not confuse "social skills" with "personality". The former are learnable and increase with experience, the latter is a product of the interaction of your temperament with your (mostly) early development and is usually pretty stable.

That said, there are some trajectories that are generally pretty predictable as people age, like becoming less emotionally labile (thanks, calcification!) and better able to regulate their reactions.

Absolutely. A series of conscious choices, really, adjusting as I went along. We all have shit about ourselves that we don't particularly like, if we examine ourselves at all.
