Taking a legitimate day off of work to pack. This also requires boxes. You can get free boxes where they sell beer. The spanish word for beer box is apparently caja. I will miss that bodega.

home alone so i can make loud belches that sound somewhat like a dog barking. Right. Now onto the cds since the books are done.
is for any box.
for example, a take out box for the left overs at the taqueria.
'Necesito un caja, por favor.'
Nifty. I guess the beer part was just understood in context since the cahier just shouted to the stock boy "cinco caja por favor." he also held up five fingers for some reason.

5 boxes please
Right. It what i asked for- 5 beer boxes (i understand a few words of spanish. I watched sesame street as a kid). Im just confused why he had to show how many cinco was to his fellow spanish speaker.

that actually had nothing to do with the quantity of boxes. holding up five fingers is a terribly insulting gesture of dominance in the mexican culture.
it is quite possible there was a knife fight in the bodega upon your exit...
Wow....
I think they might be dominican. Does it have the same connotation in dr?
....there's good things about moving?
Im trying to look on the brightside of life waffle iron. Im effectively homeless as of saturday since my back up plans fell through.

Bright side is always a good side to look at, I just hate moving. I love it when I have moved in to a new place. If I could afford it, I'd pay people to do the actual moving for me.
Well i dont mind the actual moving bit. Once i realized i can put all my heavy small shit into multiple beer boxes instead of two large boxes it became easier. I got a storage thingy to move everything into. I also have a girlfriend and two just out of state crash here and there offers and an aunt with a spare bed that ill be contacting tomorrow. So i wont be sleeping in the arboretum. The good thing is is that my roommates friend last night said he has two potential places for me one of which my rent will consist of chauffeur responsibilities.
Wrong! There are no best parts about moving. Moving sucks balls. All of it. Even if you're moving somewhere awesome. I know, because I am moving somewhere awesome, and I'm dreading having to pack all my shit up again in 14 months time, hire a van, throw boxes around the place etc.
Band van :D

we call a beer box of 2 liter glass bottles a "cartón"
which translates to cardboard
Just wait until you get arrested for trying to move into your new place.

They say it activates the lymphatic system.

That's interesting to know. I would have assumed it was used in the same fashion as the English word "carton". which is derived from a French or Italian word meaning the same, if i recall correctly, but (the English word) is more often used of containers than the material. This does make me wonder about the usage in the other languages now.

Down by the river?
Nope. That just means I don't have to rent one. I'm probably going to be toggling between my girlfriend's and a friend or two's place.
And my aunt agreed to take back my uncle's car, which I have no real use for and is still at my nana's house not starting up anyway. So, I'll have first, last and security soon.

"Karton" means "cardboard" in Dutch as well. But we don't use it to mean the container, just the material.

WOO money for apartments is good. is it definite, or is just something on the table in case that other thing you were telling me about doesn't work out? (you know, the thing with roommate and chauffering, I forget the details).
That's a definite thing. Even if I move in with the guy I would chauffeur, he owns a truck. He just can't drive it apparently. It is in Canton though, and I don't know how often the buses (if any) run out there.

Mooches grassy ass, senior uh.
Worst part about moving.
Having packed most of your stuff but not knowing what to do with the rest of it since the random junk box is mostly full. And by mostly I mean, you should fit more stuff in there for stability but nothing will fit without making it too heavy..
Fuck it, where's the poker set?
There.
Oh that's going to be a bitch to get out the door....

Gonna have to agree with Cain, here. Moving is, objectively, one of The Worst Things.

I had more boxes than that. I just required 5 more.
