All you can say in this site's defence is that it, rather than reality, occupies the warped minds of some of the planet's most twisted people; gods know what they would get up to if it wasn't here.  In these arguably insane times, any lessening or attenuation of madness is maybe something to be thankful for.

That wouldn't piss me off, Requia.  It's what I would expect from you.

Well, I've explained it to WK as best as I could. She has continued to defend a indefensible position and to use incorrect metaphores to try to make sense out of the situation. While I won't attack her yet, i will call utter bullshit now on her remaining a mod there. She must be doing it because she believes in their rules, while enjoying the freedoms of posting here.

If I remember correctly I did vote for quid pro quo to cover her as well. I stand by that still.

Me, too, and I've never made any secret of it.  However, I was personally involved in the bullshit, so I deferred to ECH, and he's made his decision...To wit, she stays, but that doesn't mean you can't dump on her, hard.

IIRC, I voted to let her in, for precisely this kind of treatment.

And I'm fine with that.  I try not to use the ban button if I'm personally involved.

Yeah.  I just think quid quo pro is the less fun option, in this case.  Much as if, say, Memnoch ever got the stones to sign up.  Sometimes, its the little things in life, like people being in a place where they can't make everyone shut up and defer to their authority, that make for a good time.

Sure, but EBS and Alchemist were made far more miserable by their bannination.  I agree with WK staying, at least on a misanthropic level...On principle, I'd rather she was banned.

But as long as she continues to whimper about how she has to stay there because it's as important to her as her children, I'm okay with things.

Oh yeah, it's definitely a case-by-case thing.  And in this case, this was absolutely the right choice.  :lulz:

Yes, I can think of several people who would be fun like that.

Memnoch cannot argue without the ban button on his side, for the same reason he peed the bed to get out of basic training.

I agree, he would blow up and storm off, which would be great fun in itself.

Yep.  He was ELS'd for "failure to adapt", early in his first year of service.

That translates out to - in a training environment - pissing the bed.

Yes, this!

Mesozoic Mister Nigel

Someone should send Memnoch a link to this page of this thread, to see if he could be lured into coming and trying to defend himself.

Not that he would... I doubt he has the courage to post anywhere he can't hide behind "authoritay".
