But some kids will notice that razor blade guitar, and want to know what the hell it is.  And they'll find an entire realm of music that may have been hidden to them.  Gang of Four.  Mekongs.  Mission of Burma.  Modern Lovers. Magazine.  And if we're really lucky, they might get inspired to do something else with their free time other than staring at a screen.

Funny you should mention that, LMNO, because your post has done exactly that to me. Gang of Four is my new favourite band, and I'm seriously considering taking an indefinite hiatus from tabletop RPGs. I don't seem to be going anywhere with them. But I have a journalism course to talk my way into, and I have a guitar to learn how to play, and I have a bike to fix, and I have a body to exercise, and I have parents to move out from. I've got a job now, so that's a start.
