Her reading comprehension is for crap. I read that thread and she somehow managed to get the exact opposite of your meaning out of it there, and did the same thing here.

If she was able to just go, oh shit I misread, that would be fine. Nobody expects perfection. But she's so sure she's the smartest guy in the room that she can't admit to being wrong, and instead tries to cover her gaffes by attacking. Her attacks on you and Freeky were especially egregious, because it's fairly obvious that she was under the mistaken impression that you were uninformed or easy targets. It's weak, stupid, and transparent.

One of the things I LOVE about PD and EB&G is NOT BEING THE SMARTEST GUY IN THE ROOM. It means I get to learn stuff, but only if I shut the fuck up and pay attention. Some people aren't able to do that because they fear their identity would collapse if they admitted having gaps in their knowledge and understanding.

I don't like the term either, but the fact of the matter is that the US government has created a historically new (for us) status of immigrant by rendering the formerly-called "undocumented" (which term I prefer) immigrants against the law. Hence "Illegal". I hate it, but the term is accurate, technically speaking, and using it does not make someone racist or anti-immigrant, and if ANYONE WITH A BRAIN paid any attention at all to Jenne's writings it would be obvious as fuck that she doesn't support criminalizing undocumented immigration.

Dipped into that thread at EB&G to see what the fuss was about between you and Jenn.  The bit where you get  about the word "illegals" is pretty damn funny.

The term, while often used as a pejorative by some on the right, will apply in any country in which a visa is overstayed by a person who doesn't hold citizenship or by someone who crosses the border without acquiring a visa.  What, you think Mexico doesn't call Americans who overstay their visas "illegals?"

The Federales can stop you any time and ask to see your visa.  If it has expired, they deport your ass.  You're lucky if you get the chance to go get your shit and tell any of your friends good bye.  It happened to at least 2 people I know, and they weren't even working down there.  Every country in the world does it the same way.

Now don't get me wrong, I all for open borders and free movement of people and labor.  I think it's healthier in the long run.  But that's a pipe dream. 

Using the term "illegal" in the manner she did was absolutely correct.  It was direct and you immediately knew she meant migrants without a visa, no matter the country. 

The fact that it got your feathers ruffled IS pretty telling and noted for future reference that you take yourself and the world around you too damn seriously.
