Well well well, what a lively little thread. And to think I only dropped this here because I didn't want to leave blazing mad after that fight. Come back in, and this shit grows 7 pages? And everyone's got an opinion. I love it when we all get together and share like this, don't you? And don't get me wrong I read the thread. Every post. Great to see that good old PD Community spirit again. At least, I think that's what it was.
When I logged in on Tuesday, I think it was, things were a bit different. Look at new posts, like you do. New thread. "Attn BadBeast" thirty odd posts. Best get in there , see what that's about then. Quite a surprise, to tell the truth.

Because I've never griefed up anyone here, attacked them, flamed them, insulted them, fallen out with, argued with, or fought, beyond the usual good natured cut and thrust.
I hadn't ( To my knowledge) upset anyone, or said much of anything really, recently. So I log in, to that thread. And fucking hell! I'm under attack here. And they're using my friend as ammo. Nigel's called it. Roger's straight in on page one. And there were another 29 fucking pages. Well, I've seen it happen before. I know how this shit goes. And I have no idea where it's come from. The whole thing had fuck all to do with me in the first place. And Eartha doesn't post here anymore. So  . . . .I'm fucked.

I can't ignore it. But I never did anything to deserve it. As far as I can tell, it's got no reasoning behind it. It's got fuck all to do with me. But my name is on the thread. And I most certainly am not going to roll over and take this shit. So I fire a few fucks across Nigel first. Next? Roger. Always take the biggest one out as soon as you can isn't it? (Like I say, I've seen this shit before, just not all pointed at me)

I never asked for this, not ever. And if I want to air some beef I got, I do it directly. Not by dragging their friends out of, to my knowledge, nowhere, and all across a public forum. Where she doesn't even post.

But it dawns on me after a minute or two. Right, It's an attack on Eartha. Well she's my friend. And that's something i don't take lightly friendship. See, I don't know anything about any of any of this PM Bollocks. The only thing I know, is that it had fuck all to do with me. And Eartha hadn't put me on any spot here, Nigel had. For no fucking reason that I could fathom. Dok's lining up next, and Cain. So I come out fighting. Is anyone surprised? Some of you seem to think I was a little harsh. Well and good. That's how I react when someone's fucking with me for no good reason. But what's done is done. The only person who tried to help, and calm things down or seemed even the least bit concerned that something wasn't right, also gets his fucking arse chewed off. Well, All I saw was a fucking Lynch mob. With my name as the title. If I got a bit lairy, (I did, didn't I?) and had the balls to stand up to this unwarranted attack, then maybe next time someone want's to fuck with me, they might think again. And all this unpleasantness can be avoided. 
I don't think I'm an unreasonable man, I'm not belligerent particularly, and I don't fuck with anyone unless I have a good fucking reason. Even then, I would never use a set up like that "Attn BadBeast" thread. No, seriously, I wouldn't. But I'm not going to keep on about it. I think I said all I had to say in anger, on Tuesday.


Oh, and I nearly forgot. The OP (Quite ambiguously, I know. Bite me.) wasn't referencing Eartha at all.   
It was another crazy chick I know. One who I haven't seen in here for quite a while. I do hope she hasn't inadvertently been banned. The bit about her fighting like a Tiger doesn't really capture the magnitude of her rages. I've known her over 25 years, and while I love her very dearly indeed, I wouldn't like to try talking her down from the Mountain.

BB, i gotta admit, I still don't quite follow your logic here. I mean, if you're not sure what's going on, or whatever, why not come in with a "hey now, wot's all this 'en?"? And when you realized that it was about Eartha... then.. why the fuck didn't you say "hy now, let's take a step back. I sort of jumped into something I was not fully prepared to, let's try to start over and let me see if we can makes sense of this mess"? i mean, coming in guns blazing, and then trying to maintain that after you've realized that you not in the situation you thought is kind of.. well, ridiculous to be honest. On the one hand, Eartha's your friend, and you've got loyalty. i can dig that. On the other hand, you are (or should be) aware that she is somewhat of a pariah around here, and the reason for that is because she tends to do bizarre abusive shit to people with little or no provocation, from what we have been able to observe of her behavior (and for some of us, it's been not only here at PD). While there are many ways to handle this situation, I, personally, would think continuing firing random shots in the dark and then starting a thread that is tagential to that, but can easily be conflated with that situation is not the best way of handling it. I mean, dude, I don't think you've gone round the bend just yet, but I really don't know what to make of this. Until recently, Eartha was able to defend herself from these accusations if she had so chosen. You could have encouraged her to post in her own defense, Pm'd someone, like Nigel for instance, to ask hat was going or please cease and desist or whatever you wanted to ask in a more... diplomatic way,  I suppose. Personally, I'm a fan of posting    and then waiting for someone to figure out that I have no idea what the fuck they are on about, but that's just me.

Anyway, I am still unclear about why this semed like a good idea, uless you wanted a fight. Before I sart repeating myself, I'll just say, I don't mean any of that as a criticism of your character, I'm just saying I don't get where you are coming from, or rather, why you are coming from there.

I didn't see any attacks on you in Nigel's OP.  To me it looked both like a question to you why your friend is being  acrazy psycho, did you know that she was one?  and also, you know, bringing up the horrible shit Eartha was doing into the public eye, because jesus.

You might even notice that instead of responding in kind, I attempted to make a bitter joke of it by changing the thread title and then giving you what you seemed to think I already had, but in the form of a ridiculously over-the-top and inapplicable string of insults.

But what do YOU do if one day you have a string of completely insane abusive PMs in your box? Maybe try to share it with your community in a way that isn't "Hey, yo, I'm calling the police, mmmkay?"

Maybe putting your name in the title wasn't the best idea. But I was pretty damn bemused by having the response to "So what's up with viewing my profile and posts for hours?" be such a weirdly nasty assault on my humanity. And my intent with that thread was not to jab at YOU, but to publicly call out Eartha for her insane, shitty, abusive behavior right in front of her friend. Like, hey, you said this shit in private, but how do you feel about your friends knowing about it, eh?

Which is also why I forwarded those PM's to you, so that you could see and judge for yourself.

But apparently, your friendship with her is such that any behavior by her is excusable, while any retaliation against her makes someone a snaggletoothed whore, or somesuch.

BB, I think a simple "hey, guys, can you leave me out of this shit? thanks" would have been sufficient. As far as I can tell nobody is impugning your character for defending a friend, we just think your response was COMPLETELY out of proportion to whatever unintended offense you took.

I can't speak for anyone else, but as far as I'm concerned whatever eartha's deal is is her own and I'm not conflating her behavior with yours. I know you're probably chapped that I banned her, but I'm the guy who's legally on the hook here and I'm not willing to be responsible for allowing her to continue or escalate her behavior here. But I like you and I enjoy your posts and I hope you don't stop posting here over some drama that is only tangentially related to you.

I think you and Nigel should probably apologize to each other and shake hands, but you're all grown ups and I'm sure you can decide for yourselves if and when that's appropriate.

Like I said Phoxy, I saw Lynch mob. And posted I think 2 posts before I thought it might have been meant for Eartha. There was no confusion, it was still a fucking lynch mob. Only it was just using me to attack my friend. Which is like, even worse if anything. I don't lose my shit over fuck all. Shit, I'm easy to get along with. And I am pretty careful not to upset anyone.   
But I couldn't deal with that shit any differently. And if the same thing happened again tomorrow, then that's more than likely how I'd react tomorrow.

I'm not complicated. Or irrational. Or butthurt. I don't hold grudges. I'm not  looking for a fight. It's done. I'm not making any excuses for my behaviour. Or picking the bones over to see how it might have gone differently. I'm certainly not firing random shots in the dark. It's done, dusted. I never started any of it, remember?
