No, I've been angry at times today (not all day, that's silly) that someone (who's views I respect, despite the fact I've never met him) repeats a narrative fed to the public by one of the BIG media outlets and refuses to admit that the quotes he's been posting are not in any way the reality of the narrative "as it happened".

I gotta admit, I don't understand the whole "Zimmerman is obviously a racist" narrative given that he's not even white.

That said, he doesn't need to have been racially motivated in the least for what he did to be inexcusable and he should be charged with murder.

He can still be racist.  I'll admit though, the noise they're making about the racism issue keeps making me think he's white, instead of hispanic.

So even though he isn't white, it could still have been racially motivated.  But maybe it wasn't.  Either way, it's awful and sad.

I also don't see how the race-baiting in the media makes it OK for Zimmerman to have murdered an unarmed kid after being clearly told not to follow or confront him by the actual police (or what passes for them in Florida).

Saw your reply post, but will also say that no, it's not ok for him to have murdered an unarmed kid.   It doesn't even matter that he was told not to follow the person, he should not have shot him.  Given the history of the neighborhood, I can't say with certainty that I would not have had a gun on me were I in his place.   He should have never left his vehicle.  If he hadn't, 2 lives would not now be ruined. 

That being said, people should always be able to call 911 when they suspect someone in their neighborhood shouldn't be there or might be there with intentions to commit a crime, regardless of their skin color, without being labled racists.

Even if they are REALLY real for realz racists.
