I've easily seen over 400 fuckers start and leave. It is by far one of the most bizarre places I've ever worked at.

Quick highlights :

Fighting in work will not get you sacked. Or even disciplined.

To increase "employee retention" a points system was put in place for unexplained absence. 1 instance =4 points. At 150 points you get a "letter of concern". Retention technically improved, as it now takes about a month for management to admit they've probably gone for good.

The multiple people that thought the best place for a crafty joint is near the gas tanks.

The new flt driver who drove straight into the portacabin.

Casper the friendly crackhead. Who gets touched up by ghosts and has hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of drugs.

Management sent on regular courses to improve productivity. It's been at a steady 20% since I got here.

Paying 15k for a "workstation" thats made of about 30 quids worth of steel and half a day's welding.

There's so much more. I'm in a very odd Greek hell and can't escape.

Nine naked Men just walking down the road will cause a heap of trouble for all concerned.

I've been just about keeping up. I'm very proud of you. It takes commitment to spread the HOLY WORD to new environments. The main benefit of being here is how many people I've been able to subject to it with utter impunity.

This attempted rocket(?) launch is one of the most glorious things I've ever seen.  It's worthy of John Clark.

There's over 100 of us in this meat-suit. You'd think it runs like a ship, but it's more like a hundred and ten angry ghosts having an old-school QuakeWorld tournament, three people desperately trying to make sure the gamers don't go hungry or soil themselves, and the Facilities manager weeping in the corner as the garbage piles high.

This was, in some ways, better than the Vanguard launch.

For one thing, in the Vanguard launch, NOBODY STOOD NEAR THE EXHAUST PLUME.

The fun stuff starts at 0:40

At min 1:52 they all run at different directions, such a natural response

This band has consistently blown away my expectations. Just incredible, top notch nu metal. It sounds like the absolute best of 2002. I watch them like a hawk, that's how I know about this song so soon after it was posted.

Have something angry and desperate. The post-hardcore flourishes with the moody rap section in the middle are something special.

I found this YouTube video completely by accident, and I agree that it is truly epic!

Well, at the very least, it's okay for small children to watch, and my posting it here without a NSFW warning didn't violate the Official PD Bannable Offenses List™ - Item # 2.

I admit, I never saw, or even heard of Forklift driver Klaus - The first day on job | A Short Film by Jörg Wagner & Stefan Prehn before you brought it to my attention. And, interestingly, the following message appeared when I found it on YouTube:

So, for those who haven't been subjected to it seen it, here's the NSFW link:   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChOHnSL7ZCg

"STAR TREK ORIGINS (1920) | FULL MOTION VIDEO |"

Having watched the old Buck Rogers and Flash Gordon movies, I got a kick out of this homage to Star Trek. In this short video, the creators are reaching all the way back to Fritz Lang and Metropolis for their inspiration.

You know, it never occurred to me that Klaus could be NSFW. People have used it as an actual safety training video in a workplace.

Not sure if "gore" in the bannable offences list includes fake gore, or only real.

Admittedly, having not had a work computer for nearly 10 years, now, It's something I have lost a bit of consciousness of. Three jobs ago I was on the computer at break and looked up the Max Headroom signal hacking incident and forgot about the butt part. When it got to that, I panicked a little bit, but nobody ever said anything about it.
