I am definitely in total agreement. Probably the biggest, thickest bars in my prison are programming from when I was growing up, based entirely around my perception of my own merit, how I obtain my value, etc, and they're some pretty fucked up bars. Overcoming this stuff is borderline ridiculous at times, but at least I'm getting to the point in the last year or so that I'm starting to actually be able to be conscious of it.
