My youngest son's english teacher decided his allergies were the swine flu and made him sit in the hall during her class and told him to stay home until he was well.  After my brief yet satisfying conversation with the principal I received the nicest apology from the teacher.

I had a similar situation with my kid that has allergies and pink eye.  I walked into the "principal's" office (really, she was the OWNER), and put the drops in his eyes that cause them to go from pink/flaming red to blue-white in 10 seconds, stood back and said--"Now, anyone else want to tell me who has pink eye and who doesn't?"

Fuck.  I hate it when that happens.

My pharm tech cousin just told me she doubts they'll release the H1N1 antivirus.  She says it's too flawed and causes too many complications and deaths.  So Tamaflu it is!

I view the flu as a personal challenge.  There will be no innoculation, nor will there be Tamiflu.  Mano-e-virus, to the DEATH.

My friend and her sister have it. I'm half laughing, half "awwww, lemme make you two some chicken soup..."

Her parents are hilarious though--they've been wearing masks since her sister came down with it. She hasn't had the heart to remind them it's a virus and not a bacteria.

Somebody at my college got it.  All I know about was from a mass email from student safety telling us that there was a single confirmed case and that the student had self-isolated.
Q: How regularly do you hire 8th graders?
