I think i finally figured out how to play stip Conway's life.  You get a shitload of nudists together, then have them all take off/put on clothes according to the life rules.

oh god yeah. last time I played was in 1988. I downloaded the entire torrent for the one we picked and I'm reading thru it. omg. lots of things. wowo.

Just focus on the core book, really.  Outside of traits it has everything you should need.
