Breaking windows because of restrictions on being denied medical insurance? WTF is wrong with these people.

The media most likely. They have no idea what the HCR is really about. They only hear Glenn, Rush, and Sarah's POV, and draw their own conclusion.

Chances are, these are the dregs of society, absolute Middle American Gun-toting White Trash who know nothing about how the system works.

Someone in the progressive world needs to find a relative of someone killed in the Oklahoma City bombing who understands that was the result of nineties right-wing incitement, and get that relative on TV talking about how we're on the same path now. Things are getting fairly alarming, and we should be using any means we have to shame the right into tamping down the crazy. We might not succeed, but it's irresponsible not to try.

If anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear it. Added bonus: preventing another Oklahoma City keeps Democrats from using the opportunity to extinguish our few remaining civil liberties.

If that doesn't happen, the other option is waiting for them to commit some sort of atrocity (like another OK bombing) that will shock 90% of the teabaggers back towards moderation.

OR

          waiting for the U.S. Government to arrange a contemporary KRISTALLNACHT replete, with nation-wide brick-through-window activity

TO

          isolate and identify the enemy, in order to support the further necessary governmental activity to supress the enemy. Yes, very similar to the Oklahoma City Bombing.

The Washington Post today has a profile of Mike Vanderboegh, the 57-year-old former militiaman from Alabama who last week posted a call for people to throw bricks through the windows at Democratic offices around the country to protest their votes for Health Care Reform. Whether the people who actually did this over the last week did so in reaction to his call to arms is not clear. But he's happy to take credit and others are crediting him too.

But Vanderboegh really is a classic exemplar of scream-at-your-TV tea-partyish extremism. A radical libertarian, champion of getting big government off the people's backs, his day job? Vanderboegh lives on government disability checks down outside of Birmingham, Alabama.

The fraction that might actually like do violence wouldn't be particularly idealistic, and none with cunning and will to direct violent operations arose.
The idealists and followers persisted (presumably majority followers, since idealists might fight for their cause), long after it was meaningful.  It could still be decent fun, idk.

In any case, giving the majority of a state said state is a matter of tyranny of the majority: the states as a whole (super majority) do what one state's majority wants, without regard for the minority in that state.  You can't do that to US citizens (without a good pretense).

And here we've been calling it "Democracy" and "State rights".

Also, I think the Teabaggers may be beyond parody.  I mean, they're a bunch of people, named after a particular sexual act, who after 8 years of neverending foreign war, illegal spying, torture and corruption suddenly notice the new government is evil, tyrannical and despotic, who dress up like rejects from the 18th century (when they're not looking ridiculous in Army surplus camo), hold illiterate signs at the worst (and provided-for signs from FreedomWorks at best) and believe providing healthcare to more people (regardless of the flaws of the bill) is more overtly tyrannical than any other act since the new century came around, and most of them seem to be people who are benefitting from government help.

The fact these people have any support at all means your country is fucked.
