They may be beyond tasteful, measured, intelligent parody, but nobody is beyond parody.

Wait at least 500 yards away.

Also, I think the Teabaggers may be beyond parody.  I mean, they're a bunch of people, named after a particular sexual act, who after 8 years of neverending foreign war, illegal spying, torture and corruption suddenly notice the new government is evil, tyrannical and despotic, who dress up like rejects from the 18th century (when they're not looking ridiculous in Army surplus camo), hold illiterate signs at the worst (and provided-for signs from FreedomWorks at best) and believe providing healthcare to more people (regardless of the flaws of the bill) is more overtly tyrannical than any other act since the new century came around, and most of them seem to be people who are benefitting from government help.

The fact these people have any support at all means your country is fucked.
I intend to take your advice.  I decided we were fucked when I figured out what the USA PATRIOT act was (because that's NEVER going to be repealed). This compounds it, but might be kind of fun along the way whereas the PATRIOT act is not.

QuotePresident Felipe Calderón of Mexico, points out that USA authorities are facing a strong opposition to regulate weapons in the border

Tighter control over weapons trading might upset the Teabag brethen, and its supposed to be one of the principal axis of the solutions to deal with the "little" cartel problems.

Not like gun control is gonna happen among the border - nor that the cartels are going anywhere.

Edit: this is in relation to the bi-lateral discussions that Hillary et al came down here last week for.
Of course we would.

I can't stop snickering though. It's a really weird phenomenon, right? I mean, I'm thoroughly disgusted, and yet, I want to read more. This is terribly misanthropic of me, but I want to see the teabaggers keep pushing it. I want it to get worse; I want them to start actually obstructing democracy. Just imagine the lulz!

Imposition of Order = Escalation of LAIL

I want to see some anchors from the Daily Show go interview regular teabaggers and get them to really explain their position. It'd be awesome to hear an average teabagger describe exactly what socialism is and why it is bad. And what exactly is wrong with the health care bill. I think it'd be a gas!

because you know, maybe we're actually just pawns of the liberal leftwing media, and the teabaggers actually have a great point. We would never know because the only information we receive depicts them as batshit insane extremists. I mean maybe we're all facists and are too brainwashed to even comprehend it, you know?

:lulz:

Chairman Risus

I've often wondered what I would do if everything the right-wing nuts were saying was entirely true.

Obama, the muslim ethiopian, is looking to kill your grandparents
and once this new healthcare bill gets into full swing,
you will have to donate an organ to a homosexual and get a sex change.

I'm still working on a reaction.

FUCK THE TEABAGGERS AND THEIR DOUCHEY SIGNATURE SHILLS, THEIR MISPLACED VIOLENCE AND THEIR IGNORAMA.

"IGNORAMA"?

Agreed on all points. It's kinda like bile fascination.

When and if I go, I'll be sure to see what I can get them to cop to. I expect they'll refuse if they see me with a camera, but my mp3 has a handy little recording function and is petite and doesn't actually look like an mp3.  :lulz: I'll post what I can get.

I THINK IT'S DRAMA + IGNORANCE.

...sorry, my ire from the day's events has bled into every other post I'm making...

QuoteTea Partiers and others on the right are starting to distance themselves from the recent spate of violence and racism that has characterized the opposition to health-care reform.

In a letter to President Obama and Congress released yesterday, an alliance of Florida Tea Party groups called the Tea Party movement "a peaceful movement" and declared that they "stand in stark opposition to any person using derogatory characterizations, threats of violence, or disparaging terms toward members of Congress or the President."

A similar coalition in Colorado -- where the office of Rep. Betsy Markey (D-CO) recently notified police about a phone call it received threatening violence -- released a similar statement. "Tea party and similar groups across Colorado are saddened tonight to hear of threats made upon Democratic lawmakers in response to the passing their recent health insurance reform legislation, specifically ... Rep. Betsy Markey," it said.

And FreedomWorks, the Washington grassroots lobbying group that has helped co-ordinate Tea Party events put out a statement declaring "political violence is both immoral and ineffective, and will only set the movement back."

Separately, Debbie Dooley, a co-founder of the Atlanta Tea Party and a national coordinator for Tea Party Patriots, told Fox News: "We support peaceful means," adding, "there are so many Tea Party groups that are out there. ... It's like herding cats. It's impossible."

Even Glenn Beck -- not known for his cool head -- has counseled his followers against violence, calling it counter-productive.

As we've reported, the last few days have seen a spate of violent attacks on Democratic offices around the country, as well as threats against several Democrats who voted for reform. The protests over the weekend at the Capitol involved incidents of racism and homophobia.

So it's significant that some Tea Partiers and their allies are starting to feel the need to distance themselves from the violence, for fear of being associated with it. In normal times, it might be unremarkable for activists to declare that violence is bad. But these are hardly normal times.

It's amazing what happens when you tell the monkeys that evil people are going to destroy their way of life and everything their country stands for. Who would have thought that might lead to violence?

We must save our country from the majority of its citizens!
