It doesn't make any sense to ignore ethniticity in the name of Political Correctness if a certian group of people are the ones consistantly commiting a certian crime

Yeah, apparently, "most" Americans oppose the federal lawsuit against AZ's new immigration law.

Because I'm sure, of all those polled, the ones in support were definitely well-informed of the consequences of this law, and had read the whole thing.

On the other hand, even if they were "it wouldn't happen to people like them".  It'd happen to other, more deserving people.  Smudgy people, leeching off hardworking American's prosperity.

In my experience, that's usually the case: those that are for "harsher" laws on so and so and more justice for such and such never really believe this could be applied to them, in any way.  They are of course more than happy to have it applied, sometimes even erroneously, to others, as they "deserve."
