I currently don't have any recipes in mind for something, and want to come up with something new/different. And maybe get to try a new sort of food I normally wouldn't eat or haven't tried.

ITT, you suggest an ingredient. Anything is ok except if it comes from the water. Actually, I'll exclude all cold blooded animals, since I don't want someone suggestion snails or locusts either. When I feel that a sufficient amount of ingredients has been suggested, I will create a dish from it, and post the method of doing so here. This is an interactive recipe thread. It is also part of the Jack of All Forums Callenge. The first recipe I come up with, I will try to incorporate into one of the other threads in the challenge.

Go!

Good start! I love spicy food and I've never had okra. I'll have to sample it to get an idea of how to work with it.

An heirloom tomato of some kind, if you can find/have one. If not, ginger.

Ok- cool. I need a starch or some kind of carby goodness.

tip: if you think you can use popcorn in a sense like pasta or rice, remember the popcorn goes on top of the sauce, not the other way around. popcorn is way too light and when you hit it with sauce of any kind it will go flying off the plate in all directions. yeah I tried that once. for 20+ people. it wasn't very good, but we had insane amounts of popcorn and a huge popcorn fight broke out and fun was had by all.

I'm thinking some kind of mole covered stuffed okra?

LMNO

Those would have to be pretty big fucking okra.

I've never had that variety, fucking okra, does it have the same snotty residue?  :|

:lulz:

I was thinking of stuffing it with the tofu, tomatos and chilis, then covering it with the mole.  Popcorn as a garnish....

Not that I would eat it but by god I could make it

LMNO

You can make a stew with the tofu, okra, chilis, tomato and chocolate (unsweetened), then use a savory-glazed popcorn as a garnish.

Or, sprinkle the popcorn with unsweetened coco powder and thyme for the garnish.
