While we're not "protagonists" in the James Semaj sense, Discordians are a lot nicer than spiders, so they are technically the good guys.  If only by contrast.

Heh. That's cool. Just trying to get peoples head in the game, not in endless possibilities. Plus, giving the Spider first shot reflects the real world more closely.
