I keep trying to hate Big Ben, but then the bastard shows me how tough he is.

Favre is easy to hate.

Waittaminute, Favre has started 297 straight games in the NFL at a position where everyone is trying to take his head off, and you're talking about Worthlessburger's toughness?

I'm no Favre fan, but c'mon. And I've got $5 says he'd eat Big Ben alive in a streetfight.

You're on. Let's get Vick to get this fight set up.

Some yahoo yelled at me, saying 'GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH', and I thought, "I'm feeling generous today.  Why not BOTH?"

Whatever

Even after getting their asses handed to them, the Rams are still looking good.  We are loving Sam Bradford!!! :D

I kind of hope the Rams win the division for two reasons:

I'd rather see the Seahawks get a better draft pick so they can maybe get Ryan Mallett or Jake Locker

and

I am literally salivating at the prospect of being able to gamble against a rookie QB starting his first playoff game for a 7-9 team against either the Eagles, Giants, Packers, or Saints.

Bradford is having a hell of a year for a rookie QB, but he's gonna get slaughtered in a playoff game. Especially if it's against either the Eagles or Packers. Their D-lines will eat him alive.

My guess is that Vegas will make the Rams an underdog to the tune of 7.5 points. The only reason the line will be that low is because, as division winners, it will be a home game for the Rams. But the Giants would beat them by at least 10, the other 3 potential opponents would probably win by 13 or more. My money will be on it, heavily.

Ode to Favre.

44 miles passing.
50 more wins than the next closest.
321 consecutive (including play-offs) starts.
Love of the game.

Since 1992 he has brought us some great football. This record is untouchable.

Thanks Brett.

In honor of the fact that he's going to win me the championship in my fantasy league this year, I changed the name of my team to "My Big Black Vick".

This week is going to clear up a lot of the play-off picture.

Bill Simmons made a great point in his most recent column on ESPN.com...

What kind of odds could you have gotten in Vegas a few years ago that Matt Cassel would end up being the single best NFL quarterback to ever have played at USC?

I mean, Leinart and Palmer had both won Heisman trophies and Sanchez was considered a sure-fire star-to-be, while Cassel wasn't even the starter at any point in his college career. And USC's history is not exactly littered with good NFL QBs. Todd Marinovich, anyone? :lulz:

No shit, huh?  :lulz:

Meanwhile we have 9 wins so far. Wow! 2 games left and we just might win the division. WTF?!?

Miami is now out of the play-offs. Jax could be in trouble. Jets have crashed. I am in a hated position of having to cheer for Denver over the Raiders. The Giants lost to Philly. The Saints may have just handed the division to Atlanta. Detroit wins over Tampa throwing the NFC out of whack.

Jax is just glad to have made it this far.  Been a hell of a few years since we did.
