Why would people who have abandoned "traditional abrahamic values" (whatever that means) spontaneously develop better ones?

What would keep this void of values and identity and tradition from becoming nasty, brutish, and rapey?

Big picture, I like the sense of a decentralized, distributed value system. Like, blockchain, something like that, could maybe serve as infrastructure to a new political economy of temporal difference that needed to trust no one. Details clearly remain undetermined, but I'm starting to sound uncomfortably like some anarchists I used to know.

You are also sounding a tad bitcoin.

Karmacalypse: mass surveilance interpolating  :kingmeh: intention from individual actions are mapped like Dante's contrapasso[/] to the predicted behavioral patterns of others about to, intentionally or not, perform a reciprocal action that is orchestrated to present as an increasingly obstinant form of accelerated karmic returns.

Surely in the future we could map out the baby's personality (based on emerging brain structure, DNA and parental environment) and create an AI to emulate it, and then we can ask the AI whether the baby consents to being aborted or not.
To avoid statistical turpitude, we require a jury of at least 12 (twelve) clones to reach a unanimous verdict on behalf of the original. We find the AI makes the decision in a manner that does not accord with our own belabored deliberations.

Selfishness will be an offense punishable by death. The definition of Selfishness is not responding with violent and murderous outrage to the contradiction of One's common sense.

Quote
Ch. 1
The following dissertation concerning the Trinity, as the reader[...]

While yet a third class strive indeed to transcend the whole creation, which doubtless is changeable, in order to raise their thought to the unchangeable substance, which is God; but being weighed down by the burden of mortality, whilst they both would seem to know what they do not, and cannot know what they would, preclude themselves from entering the very path of understanding, by an over-bold affirmation of their own presumptuous judgments; choosing rather not to correct their own opinion when it is perverse, than to change that which they have once defended...

Again, he who thinks of God as now forgetting and now remembering, or anything of the same kind, is none the less in error; and yet these things are found in the mind. But he who thinks that God is of such power as to have generated Himself, is so much the more in error, because not only does God not so exist, but neither does the spiritual nor the bodily creature; for there is nothing whatever that generates its own existence.

"De Libero Arbitrio," I scream nonchalantly at their inability to substitute infinitesimals for zero.

Gnostic gospel in which the old testament god is identified with the demon Legion. (compare the quote "we are legion" with the phrase "I AM of hosts" with host used here in the sense of an army)
Hierarchies: easy to pick up. Hard to put down.
[ed. I for one do not believe in lords, and particularly lords thereof.]

I am not myself as a dream, oblivious that it is such.

I am disturbed by the fact that I now wear suits or "business casual" more often than jeans & a black tee shirt.  And that my engineer boots have been under the bed for weeks.

This can't be good for me.

WELCOME.

Thanks!  WHY DO I FEEL SO DIRTY?

Because humans were not meant to live like this.
Sometimes, I let my clothes go to lunch without me.

If FB was primarily responsible for populating the Alamo data set, I find it interesting how google also sent reps. to liaison for them in San Antonio at campaign HQ. Or it's just that they 'get' computers, generally.

A fake bead of sweat forms on the android's forehead

I like this. I've got the image in my head here of a cut to a closeup on a nozzle specifically designed to extrude fake beads of sweat.
As a matter of fact, Ouestionable Content's alternate universe has specifically addressed this issue. They have a little nozzle, and a "thick whitish fluid" comes out.
Yeah, I have this actuator / potentiometer to simulate parasympathetic SLUDGE response with a dedented rotary, but it doesn't do anything kinky.
