Here's the thing i used to think it was important that people heard my ideas on the matter, but I'm just as full of shit as the next person the only thing i can do is live up to my beliefs and if I cant do that scrap them. Would i be happier if people quit driving and quit supporting large scale slaughter (i really have nothing against eating animals just the needless slaughter), yes definitely.

I used to think I knew the right way to go about this, I pulled the whole activist thing preaching on an anarchist radio show to a handful of listener, but that was a dead end.

I'll tell you what i am working on doing which is the closest thing i can think of to answering your question. I used to squat but felt it was impractical in that there was no real infrastructure of support which wasn't intrinsically tied to the dominate culture. So I decided to go to school where I am now to become an acupuncturist/Naturopathic Doctor once i get my degree I am going to go from intentional community to intentional community (i will obviously be driving, oh noes i'm a hypocrite ) promote various technologies such as biodiesel from algae/mushrooms and holistic health practices to limit the frequency of dis-ease and increase greater well being. A lot of what i intend to do is dependent on the state of the world in 7-11 years from now there is always a chance that my aspirations will be obsolete by the time i get to them. If that's the case ill just go live in the woods or something.

Humans have a long history of expanding into a new area and driving some of the existing species there to extinction (mostly large mammals). but its nowhere near 10% and let alone what most people think decimation means (90%). I'd be surprised if it reached 1%.

Define what you mean with holistic and use lots of examples.
AFAIK most doctors are holistic in the dictionary meaning, if they ignore the parts of the body they arent treating then alot more patients die. (ignoring the liver when treating another organ is kinda stupid. it might lead to drug overdose and consequent liver failure.)

It is well understood that the majority of them eat meat.

Even if we take the most literal definition of "majority", that still means 150,000,001 people want to eat meat.

Most people don't care, but there is something mildly fucked up when you consider that approximately 856 million cows are slaughtered every eight months.
