The new Dr Who (Since it was revived with Christopher Ecclestone) Hasn't put a foot wrong. Great stories, Great Doctors, and the chemistry between little Billie Piper, and Ecclestone, and after him, David Tennant, was phenomenal. Who'd have have thought she even had it in her?
And Torchwood too, that was brilliant. Darker, actually quite scary in places too. But you have to remember that Dr Who had some really, really shit Doctors too.
Peter Davison. Colin Baker. Sylvester McCoy. Paul McGann. Absolutely crap, all of them. Tom Baker was epic. And John Pertwee. (Where I picked it up, as a kid) But from 1981, until 2005, it really was a pile of shite. That's 24 years, of having no effort, or thought, or talent applied to it at all. In fact, between the painful to endure Paul McGann, and Ecclestone, if you could have put money on which BBC program will never be revived, it would have been Dr Who.

Torchwood was rubbish, Dr Who themed slashfic written by internet fangirls and practically a case study for scriptwriters confusing "darker and edgier" with "has more sexual themes".

At least up until Children of Earth, which was half-decent.

Granted, but, face it, Star Trek has had some shit episodes, as well.  Tastes vary.  I know people who think the entire DS9 series was a waste of airwaves.

I'd be hard-pressed to find an episode of anything since the restart that I disliked.  Hard to watch?  Yes... but that makes for a good episode.  There have been a couple that were utterly brilliant.  ("Vincent and the Doctor" leaps to mind.)

If Luna was a furry, she'd sex humans and scream "BEASTIALITY!" at the top of her lungs at inopportune times.

If it hadn't been for Steven Moffat, most of Doctor Who would've watched like Torchwood Season One, with a bigger budget.
Maybe, but what we got instead was "Torchwood" season one, and Dr Who.

Torchwood didn't need a bigger budget. It was fucking epic. You couldn't have had it written better, or acted better, no matter how big the budget was. If it had got a bigger budget, it would  have only gone on CGI special effects, and everything else would have taken a back seat.  (Like "Primeval")  *Spits*
Instead, it was driven by the quality of it's screenwriting, and the incredible cast.  Gwen. Captain Jack. Ianto. And Freema Agyeman too.
The way the characters developed slowly, over the first couple of series was so well written, and watchable, I could watch it all again, back to back, and not even miss Star Trek.

Colin Baker Sylvester mcCoy was actually excellent in his second series when they switched from juvenile shit to dark and strange. Download the Curse of fenric, its fantastic.

:crankey: Nnnngggg!! Fucking Philistine!  If I can get over the "Welsh" aspect of it, and thoroughly enjoy every Gwen fapping episode of it , then, then, . . . . Grrr! I bet you preferred Buffy to Angel as well!

Torchwood was never meant to be a darker and edgier Dr Who, except in the minds or depraved marketing executives.  Yeah, if you went into it wanting more Dr Who it was disappointing, but Torchwood as Torchwood worked just fine.

I haven't seen any Sylvester McCoy yet.

I thought Peter Davidson did a pretty good job. Colin Baker, not so much.

TOS wins forever. Why? Because it had Sulu. And Sulu was played by George Takei. And George Takei pulled off this glorious troll: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dr7v_UCsdzc

TOS is automatically awesome by association.

Holy fucknuggets I think I just had a trollgasm.

Not surprising considering the amount of monsterbating you've been doing, and your visits to that Orc whore are hardly a secret. And your Hard drive is renowned for it's collection of rare Entporn, some of whom are no more than saplings!
