You CAN have painless necrosis, but that's a ...much later stage.  Like, last stage.

Well, I've been mostly looking at the Horror^TM people are inflicting on other people rather than the Horror^TM they inflict upon themselves this summer. Or rather, I've been looking at less direct self-inflicted Horror^TM. Now that I think about it, rotting yourself from the inside out may be better choice than sticking around for the next five years in the long run....
