News:

Bigotry is abound, apprently, within these boards.  There is a level of supposed tolerance I will have no part of.  Obviously, it seems to be well-embraced here.  I have finally found something more fucked up than what I'm used to.  Congrats. - Ruby

"Billy, when I say that ethics is our number one priority and safety is also our number one priority, you should take that to mean exactly what I said. Also quality. That's our number one priority as well. Don't look at me that way, you're in the corporate world now and this is how it works."

It's not just here.

I'm starting to be worried that my prediction about the internet turning into TV actually coming true.
"I'm guessing it was January 2007, a meeting in Bethesda, we got a bag of bees and just started smashing them on the desk," Charles Wick said. "It was very complicated."

Discordia as passive entertainment.

Oh, Christ.

Don't think of it as losing users, think of it as culling the weak. They would only slow us down and attract predators.

Glittersnatch would be a rather unfortunate condition, if a halfway decent troll name.

For what it's worth, I don't have internet at home and keep PD open at work so I can read between breaks and try to contribute on lunches when I can. It takes a lot for me to contribute to IRL conversations too, sooo, yea. But at least for me it's not a case of just viewing and refresh. I'm usually only checking in a few minutes at a time and trying to contribute when I have the guts to open my mouth/type with my fingers
There's no sun shine coming through her ass, if you are sure of your penis.

Paranoia is a disease unto itself, and may I add, the person standing next to you, may not be who they appear to be, so take precaution.

If there is no order in your sexual life it may be difficult to stay with a whole skin.

Every forum I'm on is dead.

It's alarming.

Forums are becoming a dead medium, soon social networking will be all that exists. Goodbye semi-intelligent discussions, hello "tumbs up if u think justin beiber haz a small penis".

I am beginning to feel like a performing monkey in an empty circus tent.

This ain't what I signed on for.

People who love the written word have to be somewhere. I must find them.

I'm sure everyone has a very good reason.  I am not here to throw bricks at anyone.

I'm just saying that the forum is fucking dead.  It's a collection of other sites' articles, when people bother to post at all.  We get a burp once a week or so, but even that's becoming intermittent.

I still like the forum medium and prefer it to social networking. Im on this site more often than any other including facebook.

Problem is im starting to settle into proper work hours which means i dont get to post much during the day.

The upshot is that when i get home im not just sitting around and getting drunk anymore so im likely to contribute more content. I have a couple of think bouncing around in my head and im popping them into my google calendar for when i get home. I think i might work on that train song tonight if i succesfully restring my acoustic (never done it before) as well as work on some pamphlets and shit.

One week from now I am gonna be stone-cold-sober, in school full time, and either on the board posting up a fuckton as a venting system or gone entirely.

Also, weirdly enough... Facebook is dead too.

Statistically, December and the first two weeks of January are always quiet months online.

That would be more comforting if the board hadn't been slowing down in content since July.
