I saw some of the PMs she sent Nigel (never mind the ones she sent ME the last time she had an episode of bugfuck) and if she lived in North America I'd have a restraining order put in place against her.

Out of respect for you I will reply. I will never come here again. My reasons are my own and are best kept to myself. I will miss many here and wish those the best. I submit she (Eartha) was provoked to this. I remember when my wife was assaulted at EB&G by some. I resented that then and still do. I also resent the recent attacks on me here. If this is what this board has come to, well, I am better served by simply not being here.

As for Charley's wife, the only time I recall her being "assaulted" was when she turned up to EB&G and immediately jumped into a drama thread, adding fuel to the fire by treating certain people who disagreed with her as little kids and setting herself up as some kind of board nanny (and completely misunderstanding the entire thing in the process).  My memory may be off, however, since this happened 6 years ago.

Funny how Charley seems to object with people being dragged into arguments, and then does the exact same thing with my name over at EB&G.  And not even in a "your friend, Cain, is crazy" kind of way, more in a "Fuck you, I never said that and I am sick to fucking death of you, Nigel and Cain attacking me and others and putting words in my mouth", before I'd actually even said anything about this to him way.

That's fucked up of him.  I've noticed he doesn't really seem to take a rational approach to anything if certain people are involved.  I'm recalling in particular when a certain tired flowchart joke got posted and " " or "  " was the response and "FUCK YOU THAT WAS FUNNY LIGHTEN UP AND GET A SENSE OF HUMOR" was the response to that.

Personally I'm pretty sick of people taking the time to let everyone know how they won't be taking the time to be here any more.

It just comes off as a cry for attention, like someone shouting "You guys aren't my friends any more!" and running off, expecting to be followed.

Perhaps I'm just desensitized as it seem to happen on a schedule and the people who do it most often don't tend to be the same people who actually do stop posting.

Seriously what the fuck Charley. Eartha repeatedly sent abusive and threatening PMs to Roger and Nigel!

Just WHAT exactly happened that she did not deserve??

1. She got banned. Deserved, simple as that. Harass or threaten members via PM = get banned. Problem?

2. Her behaviour got publicly called out. Very much deserved. If someone acts threatening and abusive like that and repeatedly harasses our members, it is important to let the community know about this person. Not doing so would be irresponsible and immensely disrespectful to the victims.

So Charley, do you really want to jump in, flounce out and ask your acct to be deleted (which you KNOW we don't do) to defend Eartha's right to abuse and harass Nigel and Roger in private?!

You might want to think about that for a bit. Only ONE party in this situation crossed a very real and scary line. Repeatedly. Doesn't fucking matter if you think she got provoked, she crossed the line. Jumping to her defence in spite of Nigel and Roger being fucking harassed ...

If ANY of you was a real friend of Eartha's you'd be queuing up HER inbox demanding an explanation as to what the FUCK she was thinking sending those PMs.

Given the context of abusive, vitriolic, rambling, semi-legible emails, I would not tend to think it was meant to be funny.

Seriously, this is the kind of situation where I'm only laughing because she's safely on another continent. If she lived locally it would be frightening.

Well, based on the initial posts... it sounded to me like a common 'fill up my enemies inbox with shit and piss them off' routine. That's not fucked up and scary, its mailbombing (childish and unimaginative). However, if the content of those have gotten to the point that its obsessive hate mail that really causes you concern for your welfare, then its way over the line, which is why I apologized.

Wow... if you think that's normal, you have become accustomed to some fucked up and abusive types of relationships, and I'm sorry.

Its true, things have changed a lot since the early days. Hell, I remember signing people up for weird porn magazines, newsletters that were really horrible etc. I suppose the wild west has finally calmed down a bit

Let me see if I can make it more clear.

It's roughly analogous to the difference between ordering pizzas to be delivered to someone's house, and going to their house yourself every night to slip a handwritten note about how much you hate them under their door.

One is a malicious prank. The other is crazy obsessive behavior.

Often some of the fights ended up somewhere in-between those two. As I said, based on my initial thoughts, I spoke incorrectly. As I see more information now, I was wrong and I'm sorry that I tried to make light of the issue.

Today actually saw the return of the Russian dwarf hamsters.  They were confiscated by building management, who were going to keep them as mascots if the student didn't get rid of them before the weekend.

They were being kept in the shower, this time around.  And yes, they are the same hamsters as before.
