Holist, what is it that compels you to be a jackass all the time?
"I dispose of obsolete meat machines.  Not because I hate them (I do) and not because they deserve it (they do), but because they are in the way and those older ones don't meet emissions codes.  They emit too much.  You don't like them and I don't like them, so spare me the hysteria."

The same thing that compels everyone to flock to him whenever he shows up.

I see traffic is once again up on PrincipiaHolist.com.

Amazing, ain't it?

It is a behavior that puzzles me greatly.  I think it has to do with a feeling of assumed superiority, you know?  "I'm better than this clown, and I'm here to demonstrate that."

Oh. On reflection, no, thank you.

what?

(quote abbreviated for brevity)

You know, liquids have structure! In many liquids, it changes relatively quickly, but it's there! Call it configuration: it's not the chemical bonds I mean, but the layout of the masses of molecules. And I am given to understand that water is particularly interesting in that regard.

so, i was wondering whether it was possible for persistent structures in pure water to exist, and while poking around, i found this article on Nature regarding the possibility of water oligomers or polymers
http://www.nature.com/nature/journal/v226/n5241/abs/226151a0.html
but it's from 1970.  this would be well decided by this point, wouldn't it?
(I'm not strong in chemistry here)
