This shit only gets better after immense suffering on behalf of the people who wanted this:
- Post-measles encephalitic disorder.
- Women who voted to be tradwives will be beaten by their husbands and then find out the court doesn't believe them and takes the kids for "false accusations" and "hysteria."
- Dudes who got everything they wanted suddenly realize when there's no more brown folks to "take their jobs,"the Masters jobs-creators still have no intention of paying them more than $16/hour to raise those 5 mini republicans Charlie Kirk told them to have, and talk of unionizing can get them fired and sued.
- Your child's school starts teaching the girls in separate classrooms from the boys. The curriculum is not viewable by the parents and no textbooks come home. So much for "choice."
- 2A is still great! The only restrictions are that you put your hand on your heart and recite the pledge and sign a document stating you swear not to join any political party or keep any affiliation with terrorist orgs or ideologies. Spoiler alert: everything not fash is "terrorist orgs and/or ideology."

This sounds hopeless, but it's not.  Assuming you have a capacity for having more fun than you really wanted.

Funny thing about these hyper-militarized, "Patriot" rapists and thugs is that they operate in cells and sleeper-cells. They spread their message of war and total control far and wide and use dogwhistle language from their book of lies to communicate and try to convert the weak and impressionable to their evil ways. You cut the head off one group and six others sprout in their place.

They're trying to change our peaceful way of life and convert everyone to the fucked up series of lies and laws to which they swear their allegiance. They infiltrate the government, our military, our schools and businesess. They're trying to codify their fannatical beliefs and zealotry into our system of governance. Every time I see one of them in their ridiculous attire, it makes me sick to see what this country is going to. We should deport every last one of them.

If you want to live in this country, you need to behave as such. Come here, get your vaccinations, pay your taxes and support the worker/your fellow countrymen. This nation was founded on strong unions and a deeply held reverence for the morals and tenets of ethical secularism. You fly OUR flag, OUR colors here.

My friend Karl Riele, however, committed suicide after he lost EVERYTHING. Not only did he have faith and place his bets, but he dragged a lot of loved ones and friends into the casino. Ruined his reputation, self-esteem, everything. Before the Fed took his entire life savings away and brought him up on charges, he'd established a thriving market for the things in Western NY based on his faith in the Rochester currency.

He was a very, very good, kindhearted man and until just a couple years ago, I believed, a survivor. I've known a lot of people (a LOT) who have snuffed themselves out over the last few years over far less. Karl was a shock.

The thing that makes this a shining example is the fact that if the ladies room were full and I urgent enough to use the men's, no one would have tossed me.

In the one sense, it's kinda nice I suppose they're trying to tie in failure to do well at school with wider consequences.

However, these consequences are idiotic and mean little in a school system that fails to support a variety of learning methods and styles to accomodate the needs of the students.

I mean, I'd happily pay someone to slap my students in the face with a dead fish every time they slept in and missed a mock exam, for example.

The problem is, we seem to have a culture in this country of punishing failure to overcome degradation and hardship with more degradation and hardship.

More obstacles and consequences are not going to vault these kids to the top. It's going to teach them to stay down.

I was just asking for you to consider having some empathy, but hey.

I do have empathy. That's why I don't take my wording lightly and it's primarily why I hoped it would illustrate my point. It was intended to strike a chord in a spot that causes all of us to wince. It flopped. I don't know how to resolve that in my mind because the last thing I want to do is cause "gratuitous" pain that nets nothing of value but I honestly don't know how to better transmit the message.
