In every planning meeting I've ever attended, some manager or exec lists two possible failure scenarios (usually things that other people just brought up) and concudes "we just need to find a path between these two"

ohhhh shit we got a real brain-genius over here. GOD DAMN, look at those leadership skills.

I usually say "the data is inconclusive", then sit back and watch competing egos fight over the best way to lose your ass.

[edit] Something detective-like about a cult ritually sacrificing people by first branding their symbol on the inside of their eyelids, then, for posterity, cutting them off. Except that everything, from the victim's perspective, does not seem so sinister.

can anyone tell me what book (a friend of mine is trying to find the correct citation for his own book) one of the roberts, RAW, I think, writes about having a conversation with his father about what the most important thing is in life: The author in question writes about how he thinks it is imagination, and his father qualifies by saying that it's the "organization of imagination"?
