trix, I think that perhaps the reason you feel like you're getting shit for revealing personal history is that you appear to be using it as a defense of your position, when you've already admitted that position is seriously flawed.  Not to mention saying things like "I've never lived in a house" and "prison, felony, lack of income" is too coy by far, and tends to indicate you're hiding/exaggerating something.

What you're getting shit about isn't that you grew up poor and made bad life decisions; you seem to know your way around the board, so you know that kind of stuff is all over this place.  What we're giving you shit about is your use of personal history to justify saying really stupid things like, "if I can do it, anyone can".
