Actually, I took it a step further than saying he shouldn't be banned. I posited that people shouldn't go to his threads for the express purpose of trashing the thread simply because they find him personally objectionable (unless perhaps the thread in question is about the thing which so many people find so objectionable), as it's not just BH that's being censored at that point but anyone else who wants to actually have a legitimate discussion about the subject matter of the thread. And that many of the people doing that are the same people who have a complete shit-fit when someone trashes one of their threads. And that it's just juvenile and retarded to do that anyway since simply ignoring him is the easiest thing in the world.

Fuck, if everyone who posts at PD decided to go around trashing threads started by people they don't like then there wouldn't be much point to even having a PD.com.

I agree with what you say in general.  However, it isn't a matter of principle with me.  Everyone has the right to speak.  Nobody has the right to be listened to, or not to be heckled.  I fucking hate BH, and I enjoy fucking with him.

There's plenty of people I don't like or am not happy with, and I don't see a need to trash their threads.  BH, OTOH, is worth going that extra distance.  If that makes me a bad person, then I don't want to be a good one.

Because I am defending the right of ANYONE (including BH) to not have their threads endlessly jacked because of interpersonal drama, I must be agreeing with that thing BH said to Coyote. Nevermind that it was one of the most abhorrent, nasty, and personal things I've seen said to ANYONE here, or that had it been said to me or one of my friends in my physical presence the person who said it would probably get the shit kicked out of them, and nevermind the fact that it has absolutely NOTHING AT ALL to do with what we're talking about right now.

I'm having a difficult time understanding how I was coming across as condoning that thing when all I was trying to do was not condemn someone else for no good reason.

He isn't in jail because he presumably hasn't done anything to land him there.  He did mention it, though, and the fact that he wrote snuff porn to deal with it.  It was in an unrelated conversation, so I'm not sure what made him do it, other than to gross out/disturb everyone.

This is what I processed in my mind:

He isn't in jail because he hasn't out-and-out admitted to having done anything to land him there.  He did imply it though, and the fact that he wrote snuff porn about it.  It was in an unrelated conversation, so I'm not sure what made him do it, other than to gross out/disturb everyone.

He made his disgusting sexual kink made public, knowing that people would be disgusted AND defends his sick kink.

And then his dumbass called me a mass murderer that joined the Army because killing people turned me on.

Which I took as confirmation from a second witness.

What the fecal? Why isn't he like, in jail? Why is he even here? I'm pretty sure killing and raping motherfuckers is grounds for bannination, no?

So at this point, I'm already feeling the Righteous Vitriol welling up and thinking "That's seriously fucked up. No one should have to put up with a murderer bragging about his crimes with impunity. These cats are being really fucking tolerant. I'd be livid too." and I'm trying to squash it down and say to myself "Chill out and BE REASONABLE. Formulate a rational argument." 

And awaaaay I went. So yeah, Cain was right in that I feel silly that I went off because I failed to completely read the fucking manual but not silly or ashamed of my stance if this cat really did turn out to be a "murderrapist."

Actions speak louder than words. Until BH turns out to be a murderrapist...I mean, this is basically a conviction in a social kangaroo court. I mean it's an ugly world where thoughtcrime is the same convictable offense  as murder.

I'll do exactly what I usually do, which is ask to have the thread split. It's happened a couple of times.

Like I said, I normally just ignore the fucker, and I suggested earlier that others do the same. A couple of people seem to have gotten the impression that I jumped on the ban bandwagon, so I wanted to clarify that I didn't.

I'd say you made your point extremely and painfully clear to me. I can only hope that the people to whom you are referring were similarly receptive.

Actually, I'd say you were being one of the most reasonable people ITT, even if you did misinterpret Freeky's post. And you're dead right about this being a social kangaroo court, which frankly I find as disgusting or possibly MORE disgusting than BH's fucked-up kink.

That said, we still don't ban people for crimes they commit that have no bearing on PD. I might pass someone's information on to the appropriate people if I actually were 100% certain that a poster was bragging about a murder or rape that they had actually committed, but I still wouldn't ban them from PD for it.
