Looks like we have a shooter in Reid park.

That's no good, there's been a zillion people going there to catch pokemon.

Nobody was hurt.  He was some dude having a nervous breakdown who had gone out to the park to shoot himself, but was confused by the hundreds of people running around screaming and brandishing cell phones.  He eventually handed his gun over to some random guy and waited for the police to come get him.  As I understand it, he's in the observation ward at Saint Joe's.

Do I read this right? Sounds like he very well may be alive entirely because of the Pokemon craze...

It's having an immensely positive effect on people overall, so it wouldn't surprise me that some secondhand effects would start manifesting. If people are finding dead bodies and helping solve cold cases, saving the lives of suicidal peeps in need of help sounds like a damn good fringe benefit as well. Of course, this also could have ended badly for a lot of people.

I've heard much about these sort of positive effects. This did go very fortunately for all involved. I heard that it's the first game to surpass porn for overall popularity. That's pretty epic!

Yeah, I've already seen some things suggesting that porn is making up for this fact by spreading boring pictures of Pigeons covering vagoos, and Digletts over boners.

Probably means the ads will finally stop being about "HOW WOULD U LIKE TO HAEV A MONSTER COCK?" and be more like "TAKE A BREAK FROM PUTTING POKEMON IN BALLS, AND WATCH ANGELA WHITE GET BALLS IN HOLES."

And this is how ball-pipe happens.

:?

One of the best Youtube videos ever made by the Professor Cramulus.

Is it on the channel "Cramulus?"

Also, I'm not sure why I didn't even understand the connection between balls in holes and "ball-pipe" when I first read his comment. Like, there was a literal, PHYSICAL connection there that I didn't even notice.

That's magical. I don't know what shows up instead of the original pic if it gets taken down, because I've never been on OKCupid, but you should talk about how much you like that profile picture that he keeps taking down and putting back up. And ask him why he keeps doing that.

And tell him he should put up an even better version. And then report that too.

Although, I'm missing the context of what the picture is, so I don't know if that suggestion would make sense.

Apparently it's 32C/90F outside.

Which means inside it's about 42C.

Surprisingly, this is making it easier for me to stay awake.

Husband had a hell of a day, today. Apparently one of the cooks on the sub decided that he was going to take an extra day of leave. In Arizona. 8 hours away. Without telling anyone. Apparently he just got married, too.

So he showed back up on the boat today, and was escorted right to Squadron to get his ass kicked right out of the Navy. No mast, nothing. Apparently, husband went, "So, you don't want to come to work? Okay, you don't have to. We just aren't paying you for it, anymore." And since husband is not mess chief, as a punishment for his snarkiness, he got to drive the AWOL shithead's piss to Balboa.  :lulz:  After the piss dropoff, he got stuck in the In n' Out Burger drive-thru for 20 minutes because a customer inside was trying to kill himself. The best part is that I was on the phone with him when he finally made it to the window to pay, and the woman sounded as chipper as ever.

He is now in the garage, on his 2nd beer, soldering wires to a robot.
