If you put yourself in a position of leader or catalyst or lecturer, you'd better have something to back that up, or it just makes you look like an ass when people say "Ok, then what?"

Im working on it.  However, 2 problems

1 Time.  While on here I am normally witing essays. In fact, I spend 3/4 of my waking hours writing essays.  I have to take time out from the pub to go jaking, or else incorporate it into something I have to do.

2 My own way of thinking.  I think in a highly intuitively way, it makes it difficult to express what I mean in terms others can understand.

But I am working on it!  Not because I want to be a leader.  They're normally first for a fall, espescialy when they want to be in charge.  I want to break this tedious dealock we seem to be in and get something done!

jesus fucking christ...don't you get it? the whole point is that YOU are the one who has to come up with the answers for YOURSELF...do you really want my answers? you can have 'em, but there's a dual price of fealty and silence, and I can't imagine you wanting to be one of my little minions...one of those who had some promise, realized that something was a bit off, but couldn't quite find it within themselves to take action FOR themselves...I KNOW you have the intelligence and ability within yourself, the only question is, do you have the motivation? or are you content with the way things are and your current role in the grand scheme of things? my job as the Catalyst is to give you a little kick in the ass and get you off the couch (yeah, I know, I'm generalizing, but I mean what you know)...it's YOUR job as the field general to come up with the HOW and WHY of it for yourself...remember, you don't have to sign up to be part of the Americorp(tm) security apparatus to become a highly effective "army of one"...

Its a good point, and one worth remembering.  However, we need to set out the tools, provide the basic ideas, show them the path but not walk it for them.

For those who aren't, for those who could be helped by something like your OP, they can be helped more by illumination. People are more creative in groups. That's why I come to this board.

You were judging us in your OP. You put yourself in that position, I didn't do that. You're willing to criticize, but you're not willing to show us how things can improve. I'm not asking you to be explicit, but you were pretty general when you spoke of action.

I seem to be doing that alot lately, saying what you are saying in slightly diferent ways.  

If only I could figure out this damned business now!  I know Im a bobdamned strategist, one of the better ones, and I can't figure it out!  Argh, its doing my head in.  I know there is at least one answer, porbably more and they are right in front of me, but Im not thinking about it properly.  

There is a way, I've got to twist the perspective.  I got to twist it through several different ways until I can see it.  There is an answer and Im so fucking close, but in the same way the images in the mirror is close.  I have to turn this about and get it straight somehow!

Did you here about the guys who made up a fake story about compensation for that to cause a drop in share prices? A truly great jake! They made up a classy website, backdated some material to make it look older and reported it.  Even the BBC fell for it.  

That has happened more than once.  One time it was so bad the NASDAQ halted trading for the day on that stock.  Then the people who had sold at a loss were pissed.

You did direct it to me. I post on this board. I play all the silly little games. Hell, I start some of those silly little games. I was trying to defend the concept of a balance of work and play, which is something you left out of your diatribe. I didn't jump down your throat. I gave you the benefit of the doubt.

You just kinda dissapointed me there. I thought you were serious about wanting to get something cool started on this board, but you keep up with being judgemental, and insulting regular posters. I get the impression that you're treating this board as practice. That may be way off, but it's been what I've observed.

I'm not against you at all. I repect almost everybody on this board for their intelligence and style, and I include you in that. But I see this type of thing crushing it, and it saddens me. It's not fun. I was making an effort to understand your point of view in the hopes that you would do the same with mine.

I wasn't attacking you personally, and I'm sorry if that's the impression I gave you. But I do get angry at people taking this board for granted. Like it or not, it is what it is. The people on this board DO have potential, I think we're in agreement when it comes to that.
