I didn't say that I didn't like karaoke, and I never said that anything was wrong with monkeys on Harleys.  
But what amuses and excites can also frighten, if the intensity is turned up higher than one is accustomed to.
There are limits to my intelligence, my savvy, and my nerve.  And I'm not going to pretend that I don't have those limits just to make myself sound cooler than I really am, nor pretend to ennui with their antics in order to salvage my ego.
They frighten the hell out of the lady in me.

Part of the fun of hanging out with people like that is YOU are hanging out with THEM.  I suspect that they wouldn't let you get hurt, not too bad anyway.  :twisted:  I wouldn't want to be the guy who pissed them off, but then I don't usually butt into stranger's conversations.  Especially not in a biker bar.  :roll:  Of course, it has been a long time since I have seen a good bar room brawl, with beer bottles broken over heads, It might not be as much fun as it used to be, or it might be even more fun.  And if you do hang with them, leave the lady in you at home, or drink until you can no longer hear her voice  :twisted:

Actually I have no idea why you would be frightened, you said a lot of things, but you never said what it was about what they were talking about that would frighten you.  And I never said you would be frightened because of a bar fight, you assumed that was what I meant, I was just kind of thinking out loud about weird things that have happened to me hanging out with strange people.

Era, if I want to get Rog's attention, I'll just do this, HI ROG!!!!  If I wanted to get Rog's attention without anyone else butting in, I would click the magic button below his name, the one labeled PM.  It brings up a window where I can type a message for Rog alone.  I am not sure if you are cleared to know anything else about the interactions between Rog and me.  I don't care if you know, but I will leave that to Rog, since you seem to think you are closer to him than I am.  Rog, you can feel free to share any info about our relationship with Era, I have nothing to hide.  Just leave my husband out of it.  Plus, I would most certainly NEVER ask any one ever to install any AOL product, for Bob's sake.  And you may not appreciate my butting in, but other people have expressed to me that they appreciate my bizarre off the wall comments.  Others agree with you.  And since pretty much no one ever gets banned and your only complaint is that I posted in a thread you seem to think was a personal playground for you and Rog, I don't think you'll get very far.  I may understand your relationship with Rog, or maybe I don't, but mostly, I don't give a fuck and it is none of my business.  You can feel free to go back to munching on his cranium, since the two of you seem to enjoy that so much, hehehehehehehe :D

There's this chick I know who, no matter what the situation you may be talking about, not only has experienced that situation, but handled it better than the person she's talking to, is more than willing to tell you how she handled it, and is far too jaded and blase about life to ever be impressed with something that might strongly affect another person.  She's absolutely chock-full of oh-so-well-meaning advice or related comments.  And on and on -
Well, yall get the mental image of the kind of person I'm talking about.  

What makes her condescension less tedious is that she actually has a clue.  Even at her most condescending, she's capable of holding her end of the conversation coherently instead of liberally splashing around advice and comments which, for all I know, are inspired by the fairies in her head.  This agreeable personality trait, and more importantly, the fact that I've never caught her talking about me behind my back, is what makes her completely different from Eldora.

And for anyone who doesn't understand this, the term "relationship" is really nothing more than the specific interaction between two people, and any given person on this board has a relationship with any other given person on this board.  If, as Eldora not-so-subtly hints, Rog's private relationship with her is stronger than my very public relationship with him, and this posts offends him...  Too bad.  I'll accept my "do never" comment.  At least I'm not interfering in that relationship behind her back, which is a courtesy she has, at least once, not bothered to extend to me.

So, yeah, this is a public forum, and we all get on each others' nerves after a while.  We all have irritating habits.  That does not mean that when one person has been the victim of another person's irritating habits more than once, that we are obliged to keep our mouths shut about being fed up with it.
