I love the *idea* of costumed people going around doing good things, but the *reality* is much different from the advertising.

other things I learned:
- don't be an angsty emo pirate unless you like to bore everybody to tears with gutwrenchingly generic metaphores
- costumed heroes look really REALLY retarded when you paint them in realistic real-life settings, so if I were to go the anonymous vigilante way, I'd stick to normal clothing and something to cover my face. Maybe a nice hat, for style. Wait, that's Rorschach Well he was the only one whose "costume" (or lack thereof) didn't suck. Though I agree with Dok, if you like dressing up as a clown while doing it, why the fuck not.
- the general public are a bunch of fools that will shout whatever the politicians and media will tell them to shout (ok I didn't learn that from Watchmen per se but the lesson was in there iirc).

But the "Conservative" comes from a different place than the right wing conservatism.

I'm pretty familiar with this part of Liberalism because it pretty much makes up the bulk of substance abuse prevention.  Despite what you might think, there are very few right leaning Conservatives in the field.

But the left "Conservative" is coming from a place of adolescent development socially, mentally, and physiologically, as opposed to the right Conservative who is coming from a place of spiritual and religious development. 

Just an important distinction I want to put out there.
