I was watching Morning Joe this morning and Joe was reporting that apparently the New York Times had run some story by one of their sports guys that "The Patriot Empire is going to crumble" or something like that.  Basically talking about spy-gate and other things that would lead to their collapse.  I think it ran yesterday.

Anyway, apparently, they completely scrubbed the story and you can't even find the headline by doing a search.  I'm wondering if that particular story helped to rev up the Pats.

Overall, it's kind of a weird year for football so far. There isn't a lot of blow-out records at all. Even Tampa Bay is probably going to finish 9-7, talk about a "HOLY SHIT THIS KID CAN THROW A FOOTBALL" shock. They aren't going to overtake Atlanta though, they just couldn't beat them this year.

Yeah, Freeman turned out to be a hell of a steal for the Bucs.

Patriots might win the AFC (I think the Steelers will crush them in the playoffs in cold weather), but you can't convince me that any team is better than the Eagles right now.
