TESTEMONAIL:  Right and Discordianism allows room for personal interpretation. You have your theories and I have mine. Unlike Christianity, Discordia allows room for ideas and opinions, and mine is well-informed and based on ancient philosophy and theology, so, my neo-Discordian friends, open your minds to my interpretation and I will open my mind to yours. That's fair enough, right? Just claiming to be discordian should mean that your mind is open and willing to learn and share ideas. You guys are fucking bashing me and your laughing at my theologies and my friends know what's up and are laughing at you and honestly this is my last shot at putting a label on my belief structure and your making me lose all hope of ever finding a ideological group I can relate to because you don't even know what the fuck I'm talking about and everything I have said is based on the founding principals of real Discordianism. Expand your mind.

I don't understand New York City politics. But, I'm beginning to like this guy:

Mamdani stands by 'fascist' claim despite 'productive' Trump meeting

As per this article:

"In an interview on NBC News's "Meet the Press," moderator Kristen Welker noted that, during his press conference with Trump on Friday, a reporter asked Mamdani whether he still believes the president is a "fascist," a label the mayor-elect has used to describe Trump in the past.

"You were about to answer. Then, President Trump sort of jumped in, and he said, quote, 'That's okay. You can just say yes. It's easier than explaining it,'" Welker said in the interview.

She continued: "So, Mr. Mayor-Elect, just to be very clear, do you think that President Trump is a fascist?"

Mamdani defended his response on Friday and doubled down on his position.

"And after President Trump said that, I said, 'Yes,'" Mamdani said, adding, "That's something that I've said in the past. I say it today.""

November 22, 1963 - U.S. President John F. Kennedy Was Assassinated

This event had far reaching consequences well beyond the unexpected death of a sitting U.S. President.

JFK had only defeated Richard M. Nixon for the presidency in 1960 by a slim margin, and was unpopular at the time of his assassination. So, had his unpopularity continued, it would have been unlikely that JFK could have won reelection in 1964. But, upon being assassinated, JFK became a young, handsome, American Martyr, LBJ became his old standard bearer, and the former VP rode into office on a political platform based almost entirely upon young, handsome, American Martyrdom.

Now, at the time of JFK's assassination, the U.S. had less than 16,000 troops in Vietnam, and was actually in the process of reducing that number. LBJ, however, had other ideas, and the rest is history.

And, of course, as Discordians and heathen readers of The Illuminatus! Trilogy are well aware,  the many conspiracy theories that sprang up after JFK's assassination are still alive and well to this day.

Yes! There can be only one!

Elon Musk's Grok Goes Haywire, Boasts About Billionaire's Pee-Drinking Skills and 'Blowjob Prowess'

Now, perhaps Grok has yet to be trained to determine how much information is "too much information." On the other hand, it is Elmo the Oligarch's very own toy.

November 20, 1820 - The American Whaling Ship Essex Was Attacked and Sunk By a Sperm Whale

Herman Melville, himself a former whaling ship crewman, made a fictionalized version of this sinking central to Moby-Dick, his most famous work.

November 18, 1973 - Richard M. Nixon Claimed He Was Not a Crook

During a question-and-answer session at Disney World (Possibly in Fantasyland), Tricky Dick stated, "People have got to know whether or not their President is a crook. Well, I'm not a crook. I've earned everything I've got."

And so, having the current lying Republican POSOTUS in office adds weight to the claim that "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."

Quote from: Faust on November 16, 2025, 08:14:57 PMI've been taking a look at conservative spaces because I'm interested to see what their opinion of the last year has been like and I've come to a realisation, they are divided on a lot of issues, critical of things like the tarrifs or this 2000 rebate they are planning.
The thing is they are willing to compromise as long as some or most of their issues are addressed.

The left with its ever tightening purity tests or moral outrage instead of criticism of their own parties never stood a chance in the last election, and it won't in the next either unless it takes a mature approach to selecting and supporting a candidate

I think that maturity will have to include a change in leadership and strategy.  The DNC is led by old, out of touch, rich white people.  They can put up a relatively young, charismatic woman of color, like Harris, and still lose, because they're running the campaign completely wrong.  Zohran Mamdani is an example of the kind of campaign they need to be running if they want to actually win.

Yes exactly, I'm not surprised this is an established pattern

Quote from: Faust on November 17, 2025, 07:43:16 AMTruth social, r/conservative  they are all complaining about the tarrifs but saying their king is "doing well overall"

They will overlook almost any transgressions or criticise it but still give unwavering support, if they go into the next election like this it will play out the exact same as the last one
Then, perhaps you may agree with the following quotation:

"It was Bill Clinton who once pithily captured the contrast between the two parties when it came to selecting a presidential standard-bearer: "Democrats want to fall in love; Republicans just fall in line."
