I know that you guys have loyal and protective reasons to dislike him, which I really do appreciate, but I am terribly fond of Optimus Pinecone. We haven't been in touch to speak of until lately but he's been letting me call and freak out on him over Mario, and it's helped me a lot. He's good at talking me down.

I am probably going to still be terribly fond of Mario in a year, as well. I don't tend to just drop people by the wayside once I've loved them. I know my choices in men may seem fucked up, but I don't think I pick bad people, just people at a bad point in their lives.

I disagree, but out of respect for you, I will simply avoid OP rather than fuck with him.
