From Lena to Lies, the popular defense-of-the-day bandwagon seems to be "you're twisting my words!"

Dude, your words were in writing, and a lot of people saw them. I'm not twisting shit. You declared that women ought to take personal responsibility for rape prevention. The fact that YOU DON'T THINK THAT'S OFFENSIVE, and don't recognize the ramifications of such a statement, is not my fault.
"I'm guessing it was January 2007, a meeting in Bethesda, we got a bag of bees and just started smashing them on the desk," Charles Wick said. "It was very complicated."

It's not just that.  Lies gets his head wrapped around the latest Great Truth, and never stops to apply critical thinking.

For example, in Lies world, some guys - maybe most guys - can't control their dicks when they see a little ankle.  That doesn't apply to HIM of course, or to any of the friends he'll discuss it with.  But they're out there.  Somewhere.  This is of course no different than the arguments used against Gays, Blacks, etc, since the dawn of time.  "There MIGHT be a few good ones, but that's not how you bet".

He's not, in my opinion, what I call Discordian.  He's a Bircher, a Teabagger, a fanatic out looking for a cause to be outraged over.

It just so happens that right now, that cause is you and me.

Watching AKK try to jump on the bandwagon was amusing though.

Emphasis on "try" in that sentence.

Yes, clearly we are Evul People™ because we didn't think his racist joke was funny. Therefore, we are making up lies about him and twisting his words. Because he was just kidding when he said that he didn't think the joke was funny either, and he only did it to jab at you. Also, we are jerks for misinterpreting everything he says; when he said that women should take personal responsibility for not putting themselves in a position to be raped, he didn't mean they are responsible for rape. He meant something else. And when he said that they should dress modestly to avoid attracting rapists, he didn't mean that men rape women because they become uncontrollably aroused at the sight of a woman's body, or that women who wear tank tops are making themselves targets for rape. He meant something else.

SOMETHING ELSE, and we are clearly deliberately twisting his words.

I also want to know if Lies thought my joke about him being a Creamy was funny.

You hear this shit all the time when idiots open their mouths to the press..."I was taken out of context".  In the MSM, this is so rare as to be vanishing.  What they MEAN is "You shouldn't have printed what I said because it make me look bad."

I also could be a total cunt here, but I'll pass for the moment on the off chance Lies is actually a human being, I can't say for sure if he's just having a bad day or not, but from the looks of it this is a repeated offence :/

I am pretty sure that there was another one, here, about a year ago, where he was saying something very similar about how women should dress modestly if they don't want to get raped, and got thoroughly trounced. The Facebook one actually surprised me for that reason... he posted a link to an article that supported his blaming-the-victim mentality, and said something like "This is what I've been saying for years". It harkened back to the earlier thread, in which he got his ass kicked pretty hard.

I have yet to figure out if he is really that bigoted or does his constant stream of verbal diarrhea cause him to spout such offensive nonsense.

He had a vow of silence on where he only posted smilies. His post quality improved considerably.

Every single time he does this it goes exactly the same way. It's like with the "Taking advantage of idiots and getting paid" thread or whatever it is. He says something dumb, someone tells him they think it's dumb, he says he was joking and they're too stupid to understand/putting words in his mouth/making assumptions/twisting his words/lying, calls some names, sends a couple hysterical PMs, flounces. Comes back later with a posting gimmick like posting all in pics, or upside down or backward or whatever.

Lather, rinse, repeat.
