Here's my question to you atheists: If god doesn't exist .... who wrote the bible?

Think about that one, she tells us, think about it.

She MUST be trolling.  It's the only conclusion I'm ok with.  

I'm afraid you'll have to be not okay, then.  I know for a fact that there are those out there who don't believe that they can make decisions on their own, it's God that makes them make those decisions, after they pray for guidance. It stands to reason people actually think God wrote the bible.

And before we jump down that sewer, I'm not specifically meaning "Look what he MADE me do," it's more like "God made me make the right decision of not beating the ever loving snot out of my child when he he talked back to me."

Don't actually come to any conclusions, or critically examine the statement.  You think you're so smart, don't you?  Just think about it.

My Catholic relatives in South Bend evidently do this. And if you're upset, they send you to the bathroom to pray. It's part of the reason why my mother was absolutely against me applying to Notre Dame.

Of course, it's Indiana. I'm pretty sure it's never produced a sensible person, ever. (Wasn't the black doe poet guy from there? I want to say he was)

My only regret from the last couple of years was that South Bend wasn't in the fallout pattern from Indianapolis.

The first one involves having a belief, and the other one doesn't, necessarily.

The second one can then be broken down further into at least two more categories:


1.) people who believe that the existence or non-existence of a god is inherently unknowable
2.) people who don't believe that they have enough information to determine whether the existence or non-existence of a god is inherently unknowable or not

Isn't (1) an Agnostic?

Wikipedia sez:

In the strict sense, however, agnosticism is the view that human reason is incapable of providing sufficient rational grounds to justify knowledge whether God exists or does not.

Not sure who decided that, though. I'm cool with calling the second group "The Shrugs"
