2. Gravitational time dilation is the effect by which objects pass through time at faster rates when under the effects of less gravity; as well as the inverse, objects pass through time at slower rates when under the effect of more gravity.

I don't know if I'm just interpreting this wrong, but haven't you got this one backwards? I saw the movie with black holes and shit, and when the astronauts go to the planet near the gravity well, they experience like couple hours of time, while for the dudes waiting on the spaceship it feels like years. So from the point of view of an outside observer time goes by faster under more gravity and slower under less gravity. Maybe there's just a perspective shift, but I'd like to have a clarification.

Also, about those hills. If a wave is traveling on a hill that is stretching/contracting, wouldn't the wave stretch/contract with the hill?

You base this all on physical laws derived by humans from the data we got by observing the TV-screens aliens put up in the sky. They are designed to almost but not quite to make sense so our top scientists waste infinite amount of time rather than come up with anything useful.

P.S. Wouldn't a lightwave traveling in decreasing gravity be analogous to one climbing up from a gravity well?

I had a thought, probably due to reading these.

Free will is something that is exercised when you don't know what is the best choice.
With perfect knowledge human being could navigate through his life always taking the best,
most fulfilling option every time they're presented with choice.
Like how particles choose to follow straight path, because changing the course would lose energy
and therefore shorten their lifespan.

More we see into the future,
more we see the consequences of our actions,
more we are bound to follow the path of least resistance.

That's why science has felt sinister to me for a while.
It ends up abstracting people,
first as cells in the body of the machine,
then some chemistry that fuels the planetary consciousness,
weird particles that speed around the interplanetary space,
and some strange interaction between stars
until we ultimately fade out into the background noise.

0/9, for lack of effort.

Back in my day, people WORKED for their trolls.

I apologize, my lifeforce is being sucked out of me to feed the destruction of everything you hold in any significance.

Well, at least you'll die first.

That's worth something.

How much that something is in food coupons?

You mean dollars?

You don't need an apocalypse to live in hell, dumbass.

And that's why oh so many of us don't give a flying bulldozer.

In fact it's one of the most logical things to wish for, you are physically unable to regret it after it's done.

Humans are all preppers. Animals better wake up before sun goes boom.

I have audiosex with my neighbors through the walls, but I have no real way of knowing if any of them are out of this world, or even real. Every time I ask them, they insist they are inside my head, which the sort of are, but that don't prevent them existing also in adjacent apartments, or even tiny speakers hidden around my house.

I'm fully aware my head is capable of producing such a range of beautiful to weird to outright frightening sounds, but that just means somebody else's head could too, and maybe they've figured a way to get them out of there. I at least hope so, people cannot shut their ears like their eyes, and the goddessdamn world is so full of electronic buzz, motorway noises, and tv-propaganda, that any even inhumanly human voice is a welcome change in the audioplane.

Also, please, if you are making music, can you tell me how can you hear yourself same time as somebody else a distance away in a way they hear themselves and you at the same time. I want to jam with people in the walls.

Talking to you won't make Eris jealous right?

Everything pisses Eris off.  This is known.  You CAN'T get on her good side or even stay off her bad side, so may as well go for it.

...wait which Eris are we talking about? me or the other one? :O i mean i am not so sure if i would be pissed off if you talk with me... but if you talk with the other Eris... i cannot say for certain. Consult your pineal gland for assistance in English press one. en espanial mar que dos. to talk with a local cabal yell loudly at the phone.

...i hear there is a Goddess Eris here too... :O so there might be a mix up of 1-3 different Erises. :D which of us has the real golden apple?

If any of us have the real golden apple then this would mean one thing, that they are lying. Don't believe them... or me.
In relative theory, all three of us are probably experienced in the throwing of the golden apple... :O can you imagine if all two or three of us are really Eris... or what have you? What if not one of us are Eris and Dok is secretly Eris... whom is really good at playing some worker dude.

But how ever i have lost what i am trying to say...

so here is an emoticon that presumibly loves you... well i cannot find one that fits this situation... so instead...  :fnord:

I'm just intrigued by the possibility of having all the Erises face off in a deathly pillow fight (pillows stuffed with bricks). It's not that I'm advocating or enjoying violence, but the winner would have enough bitterness and cruelty in her to jumpstart the nuclear apocalypse already, so I could finally quantum suicide my way on board of flying saucer, and leave this boring ass planet behind.

Think for Yourself, Schmuck! / Re: Recent Jailbreaks
« on: June 19, 2018, 04:30:06 pm »
I got this unnerving feeling my jail is designed to break at regular intervals to give me some illusion of agency. It's like giant treadmill to keep me at place, while I keep thinking there's movement. And what i'm afraid of, is that this movement and constant change becomes a new jail. Like when I have to choose the new and interesting path every time, all the choice is gone, and I risk becoming a monster just out of boredom.

Or that's what the guard told me at least.
