UK company sends factory with 1,000C furnace into space

As per this article:

"It sounds like science fiction - a factory, located hundreds of kilometres above the Earth, churning out high-quality materials.

But a Cardiff-based company is a step closer to making this a reality.

Space Forge have sent a microwave-sized factory into orbit, and have demonstrated that its furnace can be switched on and reach temperatures of around 1,000C.

They plan to manufacture material for semiconductors, which can be used back on Earth in electronics in communications infrastructure, computing and transport.

Conditions in space are ideal for making semiconductors, which have the atoms they're made of arranged in a highly ordered 3D structure.

When they are being manufactured in a weightless environment, those atoms line up absolutely perfectly. The vacuum of space also means that contaminants can't sneak in.

The purer and more ordered a semiconductor is, the better it works."

Having worked in the semiconductor/fiber optics industry, I can attest that there is a near unending quest for cleanliness, purity, miniaturization, precision, and production yield in the manufacture of those devices. Still, I was never approached about building a manufacturing facility in space. And so, I am impressed.

That is a nice find, Nibor.

I didn't know JMW Turner painted mythological scenes.

Yes this is just a steal, Trump openly bragged about oil in his press thing earlier, the only thing I will say is at least this is open and not insulting everyone's intelligence like sending weapons inspector to find the weapons of mass distraction.

It's early yet, and I thought both 'Colonialism,' and 'Imperialism' had gone out of fashion some time ago. But, I'm not 100% certain, as I was not a political science major at 'uni.' So, for right now, I'm inclined to score this one as 'Attempted Grand Larceny.'

However, that charge may need to be changed to 'Grand Larceny,' depending upon who ultimately gains control of Venezuela's massive oil reserves. Now, if the 'Merican Oil Oligarchs do end up profiting from this invasion, then I believe this will be Marco Rubio's ticket to winning the the Greedy Oligarchy Party's (GOP's) presidential primary in 2028. I write this because if there's nothing in Venezuela with Trump's name already on it, he wouldn't be able to locate the country on a map. So, I doubt His Vileness was the one who originally came up with the idea for this invasion.

(welp, half of these are now "content not viewable in my region" because Keir Starmer broke the internet)

...how did I miss this one?

The Goddess of Discord in the Garden of the Hesperides by JMW Turner, 1806. Yes, that Turner. Eris is the lady in red and white, haggling with a nymph for a suitably controversial apple. Also note the useless guard dragon on the clifftop in the background, which was supposed to keep Her out but has fallen asleep on the job.

I know it's too early to know for certain, but it's my opinion that this one has Rubio written all over it. I don't believe anyone else within the Turd Reich has the personal interest, or the attention span required to plan and carry out this level of aggression on foreign soil.

Trump's Kennedy Post After Tatiana Schlossberg Death Sparks Anger

As per this article:

"Schlossberg, former President John F. Kennedy's granddaughter, a journalist and an author, died Tuesday aged 35 after revealing she had terminal cancer in a November 2025 New Yorker essay.

On the same evening, Trump posted a series of screenshots of other people's X posts criticizing the Kennedy family and the Kennedy Center, amid plans to change its name to the Trump-Kennedy Center."

It would have cost the vile entity nothing to have simply remained silent.

January 1, 45 BC - The Julian Calendar Went into Effect

By the authority vested in his official, elected position as pontifex maximus, the chief high priest of the College of Pontiffs, Gaius Julius Caesar put into effect the Julian Calendar. This being a solar calendar, it was significantly more accurate than the Roman lunisolar calendar it replaced.

The true faithless, of course, utilize the even more accurate Discordian, or Erisian Calendar.

Hail Eris!

All Hail Discordia!
