I do not believe that this is the case. 

Homeopathy would require that this magic glowing water would relieve headaches and nervous tension in certain people.

No sense arguing about it.  Fact is, Holist is claiming that homeopathy works.  He has no evidence to back it up, and there have been plenty of studies (linked earlier in this thread, IIRC) that demonstrate that it has no effect beyond that of a placebo.

Why would he do so?

perhaps he should look into the significant, rigorous scientific studies done on the placebo effect that show how amazing it really and truly is.
how it has been shown to be statistically very significant despite us not knowing the precise mechanisms at play.

Hugh was a number of years before i got here, i've gathered.  what was his great accomplishment? (i've gathered he was involved in some PD civil war that, essentially split the board in half, but didn't know that it was an intentional troll on his part...)

As for Hugh...I wasn't directly involved, but as I understand it, a combination of fucking around with mod powers, muck-spreading via PM and playing people off against each other helped instigate and perpetuate the 2005 civil war.  Though others were likely involved too, he bears primary responsibility.
