Interesting tidbit, and no, I don't have a link for this I heard it on the radio:

Apparently, the laws banning text messaging and using cell phones while driving has served to increase auto accidents involving cell phones. 

Yes, they've increased.

Why?  Because now, not only are people still text messaging, they are now holding the cell phones down on their lap so the police can't see them.  Which means they are even more distracted. 



Also, I'm definitely in that bracket of old people who rarely text.

I can see these things as being very capable of influencing behavior. Like with the bottled water one, after reading it, that memory gets triggered every time I buy a bottle of water. It's probably influenced my choices to some measurable degree. I remember this discordian flyer from yesteryear (something from the appendix of 23ae) which listed the causes of death of a bunch of super-rich people. the end conclusion was "STOP WORRYING ABOUT MONEY AND START WORRYING ABOUT THE ILLUMINATI"

I wonder what a good topic would be. The facts don't even have to be real, they just have to sound real. and above all it has to be presented in a visually attractive format.


if anybody's interested in collaborating on an idea like this, let's you and me start a thread about it
